Hi all,

ive had my first weigh in, lost 4lbs. Im happy with any loss but expected more. Im over 24 stone so a 4lb loss is very small for my first week. If the Xenical my GP has prescribed me are supposed to help you lose another 1 - 2 ( I think this is correct? ) lbs on top of what you would lose, that means I would of only lost about 2lbs without the Xenical! Im very confused. Ive been absolutley brilliant with my fat intake and snacks. Any suggestions or advice?

Hi Lynsey. First of all 2 pounds is a great loss for a week, we all want more but we all lose at different rates. Secondly, are you eating enough? Have you been counting calories?
Next, are you doing any exercise? Even a bit of extra walking helps.
As I say, 4 pounds is not to be sneezed at, you are doing really well, keep it up!

KB x

Lynsey, I've just read your other post, perhaps the bingeing of last week is still catching up on you and also, if you didn't start again until Saturday then realistically you have only been back at it for 5 days. Weigh again on Saturday and see how it goes.

Lynsey, I echo what KB says... weigh yourself again on Saturday, and you might be surprised. Not everybody has massive weight losses in their first week, so try not to be disheartened, the journey is a long one, and while a big loss at the beginning would be a boost, it's all the other weeks that count.
I know that's easy to say, but 4lbs is a good weight loss, especially over five days rather than seven, and following a binge as you described. Keep doing what you're doing and see how the next week goes. Your meals look fine, so there's not much else to suggest, other than maybe looking at calories as well as fat (if you don't already do that), and making sure that you eat enough and stay hydrated.
Keep going Lynsey, you can do this!

Oh thanks ladies, I really appreciate your replies. Im nt actaully counting calories but will start to take a closer look at them. Will certainly get weighed on Sat and let you know the outcome.

Well done on the 4lbs x

When I tried Xenical last time, I was losing about 1lb a week and I was absolutely gutted as I was eating perfectly AND exercising.

My Dr said I was doing fine as slowly off stays off. Needless to say I was disheartened but plodded on. Then I had a stand in GP who implied I wasn`t losing more because I was cheating which deeply upset me so I gave up :(

But I am now back on them as I didn`t use the prescription the nasty Dr gave me and am determined to stick with it this time to lose the last of my weight.

WE WILL GET THERE! Just might take us a bit longer than the others ;)

Xxx

What a horrible stand in GP! No wonder it put you off, its hard enough to be dieting without drivel like that from a GP.

Well done for getting back on the wagon! :) We will do it.

Boots scales - grrrrr

Went to get my first week weigh in, walked up to my local Boots as our home scales dont have batteries in at the moment. They were out of order! No where else had any scales, so now will have to wait till Tuesday to get weighed. So annoyed. At least I got some exercise walking there and back.
