Fresh Apple-Cinnamon Porridge

Ingredients

5 spray low-fat cooking spray
1 medium apple(s) cored and thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 tablespoon artificial sweetener (1tsp)
1 medium bowl porridge, made with water cooked

Instructions
Coat a small nonstick frying with cooking spray and set over medium heat. Add apple slices. Cook apples for 3 minutes on one side. Turn apples over, sprinkle with cinnamon and sweetener, and cook until apple is fragrant and tender. Spoon over porridge. Time-Saver tip: Get the same great taste by skipping the cooked apples and topping your porridge with 3 tablespoons of unsweetened chunky applesauce seasoned with cinnamon and artificial sweetener.

This sounds lovely. One question thought. How much is a medium bowl of porridge? x

That's sound yummy - I'll give it a go thanks!

There's an old nursery recipe where you toast one side of a slice of bread. Put thinkly sliced apple on the other and sprinkle with a little icing sugar (not sure sweetener would work as well) and then pop back under the grill until the icing sugar melts over the top. Divine :D
