Hi everyone,

I am 11weeks pregnant and i have piled on the pounds, this is my 1st pregnancy. I really donnot want to be fat, i cant stop eating pls help, i dont know what to do. your advise will be much appreciated.

Hi, do you go to a class? Extra Easy would prob be a good one for you to follow as you can have as much meat and pasta etc on plate at once so you are getting wide balance along with your fruit and veg and you still have your syns for treats and your healthy extras

a woman at my old group weighed less when she had just given birth than when she started sw when she fell pregnant!! sw is definately suitable for pregnancy if your not already a member and super healthy too

Come and join us in the pregnancy without the pounds forum! :)

Followed it all through pregnancy and breastfeeding but not happy now because I have been told I can't attend the group with my 3 year old and one year old even though it says there is no problem on thecwebsite. She has said I can go and get weighed but I can do that in the drs every week I like attending the class.Wouldn't mind if they were noisy but the 3 year old just talks to me and other members she knows or she reads or colours in. I noticed the consultant didn't say anything to me when I was paying for a twelve week countdown. I really hope you have mote luck than I did when your baby's born.

I would contact slimming world direct, there is no way the consultant can do that.

I agree, Pinkminx, I'd definitely complain. On an average week we have 6 babies and 2 toddlers in our group and nobody minds - their mothers simply take them out of the room for a few minutes if they start getting fussy. They get doted on by the rest of the group, mainly. :)

My Daughter comes with me as I weigh straight after I have collected her from Nursery. She stays and plays through Image Therapy by colouring and playing with some toys that the Consultant brings in. I would definitely complain to HQ, as you are a paying member.

I take my daughter with me, she will be 3 next month, looks like butter wont melt (check avatar) she has paper & crayons only finding probs with her as she wont stay still or quiet, but consultant just laughs, she has twins at the same age at home!

the rest of the group dont mind, they get a good laugh at me trying to control her as she jump up and down on the stage...

i go fortnightly to try and give everybody a break from it but thats my choice!

I have to say that if a child was being disruptive or noisy, distracting the attention of the consultant and other group members, then I would have issues with that. However if they are quiet and well-behaved or are removed from the room if they act up then I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to take them along. But then of course what one person considers disruptive another person might not. Perhaps you just need to have a word with the consultant and say that you understand her concerns and agree that if there are any issues with noise or behaviour you will take the child out of the room so as not to disrupt the class.
