God I hate being a woman at times !!!!
It's so unfair . I soooo wanted to go swimming and do aquasize tommorow night and now I blooming well cant cos its * week .
. I cant use a swim, ski, trampoline, skydive, do all you like stick- as I am prone to flooding. So thats out the question. Its always the blooming same grrrrrr.
Now I have to go to work with a 56 tog quilt on and have to wear god dam trousers . and worry all day if anyone can see ''it''. Its only bad for the first 2 days and then its normal , but its always the 2 god dam days i am at work . Someone 'up there' does not like me !!
Im 44 this year so hopefully not much longer - my sister started around this time and she is 47 now so shes well happy . Just want to get them out of the way -Dont need it anymore and dont want it !!!! LOL

Oh I hear ya sister! I was planning on going swimming later kick start my new week and my body went, haha no you're not BLEED BI*CH! I'm only 20 I've got years of it left!

I'm with you there too! I'm also 44 & mine are so irregular too right now. So annoying. Last time I went 6 weeks without, then bam! (TMI coming up - think Texas Chainsaw Massacre). And I gained 1lb, even though I'd had a really good week. :(

Oh yes - the hot flushes. You will really enjoy those!!!! (NOT)

Hot flushes, mood swings and all those lovely things :(
I had a hysterectomy at 29 so thought I would not go through those things but as they left my ovaries I was so wrong!
I started at 45, and was a crying, moody wreck with hot flushes thrown in!
I took myself off HRT after 5 years due to negative reports, but without them I was a wreck. I still have hot flushes and the odd mood swing, 8 years later!
Lots to look forward to, NOT!

Don't!!!! I'm not allowed HRT (had blood clots in my lungs many years ago & will never be allowed HRT as a result) and am hoping all that lot won't be as bad as people say ........

Oh and don't forget the insommnia! Hair thinning (on your head) and growing a better moustache and beard than your husband

To digress there was something on the boards about a device you can use whilst swimming , I'll see if I can find it.

This is the website. I never knew they existed

Oh yes, I have the insomnia, and the moustache bit and use one of those battery operated lady shaves every few weeks otherwise my face is covered in fluff! Thank goodness my hair has not thinned, as it's thin enough!
On the plus side, I don't have to shave my legs or underarms as much as the growth as really slowed down!

If you need something to help with menopause, this site is good for natural remedies:

I didn't have HRT - my choice - but I did have some medication for a while which helped a little with the hot flushes. I didn't find that anything herbal made any difference, although I know it does work for a lot of women.

I still get a hot flush in the morning just as I wake up - no idea why. I have to fling off the duvet for a few minutes until I cool off, then grab it back again because all of a sudden I am freezing. Weird.

I sooo know where you're comin from!

I have a heavy day as well and even with the sort of protection that would keep Pampers employees in work for weeks I daren't do 'things'.

I'm 42 in May so maybe I'll reach the 'change' soon!

I bought a ladycare magno pulse. Its 2 magnets you put on your pants.I thought it was for hippy types but tried it out of desperation. Its for menopausal/peri menopausal women. It helped with the bloating/headaches/flushes/mood swings etc.I told some friends and they agree it works. Its got to the poinbt where my oh asks me if Ive got it on when Im moody-lol-and he is totally anti treehuhhers as he lovingly dubs them

I'm with you, but on Monday I finally had my appointment with the gynaecologist and he has agreed to me having a Hysterectomy!!! Apparently I have a large fibroid that the doc can feel but because of my weight they can't see it with the ultrasound. so I have another appointment to have a scan with a full bladder and on a flat table!

I now have a job as a support worker, spending 9 hours on my own with an Autistic man who needs 1:1 supervision!!!

I use double protection and still leaked! Yuk and TMI I know!

I got one of those, and used it when I took myself off HRT. It really is good and made me wean off HRT pretty easy.
Your OH sounds like mine.
When I was taking HRT, and when I was moody he asked me if I had taken my tablet or had my patch on when I moved to them! I didn't want to go on HRT but when I started menopause I actually thought I was going through depression as I could not stop crying. I couldn't go to work or even talk to people. I was also extremely moody. My oh nick named me Tasmanian Devil as menopause had changed me from a real softie to a very vocal and temperamental hag!

this all makes for interesting reading, it's good to know what awaits us gals.....I'm always too hot anyway if I'm indoors....I'm 29, I dread to think how I'll cope with hot flushes. Having said that, since I lost a few pounds, I don't get as uncomfortably hot so here's hoping! xx

yep definately like my oh-couldn't possibly be anything to do with the grumpy old darling!!Apparently the psycho witch appears in my house when he annoys me-lol
