doomed week?

anyone else on a doomed week? Friday I'd decided to take a day off as travelling up country to a funeral, and my father in law was doing us dinner. Made a deal with myself what I was going to be allowed as treats that I'd been wanting since I started, and that I'd be 100% back on saturday.

However, on the way up I got a call to say I was being made redundant from the job I've done for 2 years. My manager is on holiday so its all fallen to me to organise. This led to shopping day on saturday buying 3 chocolate bars, then a big chinese with my SIL.

Weigh in is tues, I am certain I've got a gain coming. I'm bloody angry with myself for letting my stress/upset get the better of me.

will be 100% on plan today, mon and tues, and drinking loads of fluids, eating more fruit and veg in the hopes of maintaining.
 
hi there! Sorry to hear you had some bad news..... Hope you're ok x I had a bad weekend too! Went out for a friends birthday meant to go for a low syns option of vodka and diet coke but had loads of creamy cocktails (and I had no excuse!) I've got a few days to get Bacl on track too!!! Definately don't beat yourself up....... This happens and if u can forget about it and move on that's the main thing - you'll probaby still loose or at least maintain! And being relistic if u did gain it would be minimal and disappear as soon as back on plan x good luck x
 
Sorry to hear you've been having a bad time. First off I'd say don't beat yourself up for being human. Nearly everyone on this forum uses food as a coping mechanism and it's very hard to change habbits we've had for years and years. Definately go to group, if you don't you're just avoiding the gain and that wont help. Take a deep breath and say that happened, I'll work hard for it not to happen again. You need to find a different way to cope with the stresses/upset that life throws at us - I know that is a lot easier said than done!!

In a nutshell, don't beat yourself up that you're human. Definately go to WI. Try and recognise when you feel a comfort eat moment coming on and do something else to distract your mind. We can't change the past but can learn from it, it's happened let it go. Hold on to the annoyance you feel now and use it to motivate you next time.
