Mini quiches

There was one in the magazine a few issues back and I'll see if I can find it for you but you could just use a standard SW quiche recipe. They just used a mini muffin try to make the quiches in so they were bitesize.

I got a recipe from this site that also used a Pasta n Sauce in it. Basically you make up your quiche mixture & then mix in a Pasta n Sauce. It was absolutely delish!!!!

Oh dear, sorry to break the bad news but if you use pasta and sauce in a quiche, SW now advice that you should count syns for it rather than have it as a free food.

I have used quark instead of cottage cheese and the quiche was fine.
I know that Batchelors pasta is now syns - but hey if you get 3 or 3 porions out of a quiche - minimal?
I sometimes line a dish with part cooked sliced potato top with he egg mixture, veg and herbs - really nice.

If you are on red or easy, you can line a muffin / bun tin with ham, then fill with your 'quiche' mixture- very moreish!

I line it with bacon. Also you can use the flavoured cottage cheese(vlf) if you run out of herbs or want the easy option. I prefer quark or use my hex a(milk).Laughing cow (vlf) is nice in it too.

I checked with my group leader tonight. She said if you use the pasta & sauce & you make the quiche to snack on, you have to count the syns (using red day syn values  ) but if you make it to have as a meal, then it's syn free.

I'm happy because I've made two this week & both have been for meals

I asked my consultant about using the pasta n sauce in quiche since it been around since year dot i think.. she said that if you want to start synning then fine but since head office haven't quite made their mind up on it yet then could have it freely.... lets face facts who could eat more than one of these in a day and nine times out of who doesn't have it as part of a meal with salad or s.w chips.
