Just been for my WI (usally go in the evening, but went for the eairler class). I know i had a real bad weekend, but i have put on 3.5lbs :cry:..... i have never put on that much before.

I feel such a failure - all my hard work over the last few months - it took me 6 weeks to lose 1lb and 1 weekend to F**k it up......

Sorry for the negivate posting, but i really feel depressed this morning....

Need ideas please

I put on 3.5lbs a few weeks ago, I was SO devestated! I didnt know I could put on that much weight in one week either!!

It really motivated me to get it back off though - I worked really hard and lost 2.5lbs the next week, and i'll never ever ever go so off track again as I did then, think it really taught me a lesson which I guess I needed!

Then I somehow lost 5lbs this week! Think it was down to my hard work the week before...

...but basically it feels SO rubbish putting that on, I remember thinking thats 3 weeks hard work I've ruined! But it taught me a really valuable lesson about going off plan...and then going over the top off plan!

Think all you can do is get back on plan with your new knowledge and know your less likely to fall off again now, I came to see it as a lesson :) x

Don't worry, it may well disappear next week. It's sneaky like that ;-)

Stick to the plan, and don't think of having had a 'bad' weekend. Just keep a track of your syns, and be *aware* of what you're eating and drinking. If you still WANT to indulge, then DO...I find if I bare in mind the syns of everything, 9 out of 10 times I decide things just aren't worth it. And when I do decide 'Ach, it's a billion syns, but I REALLY want it', then I do, and I consiously (sp) eat/drink it, thoroughly enjoy it, and move on. But I do find that bu considering syns at all times, I very rarely 'really' want something 'bad'.

Stick at it.

Realistically, it is VERY difficult to gain 3.5lbs of actual fat in a week. The majority of this will be bloat- If you stick to plan 100% this week I would put money on it all dissapearing by next weigh in.

Christmas and holidays each year I have put on an average of 5lbs in a week and the next week it all goes again- the hard part after is not losing what you gained but getting your head back in gear- so that is what you now need to concentrate on

Good luck

i second this!! ur hard work will pay off and dont forget you allowed to have a life!! if you enjoyed yourself then the gain is worth it!!

but either way dont feel demotivated! keep going to class and eventually you'll find a way of balancing having a life with losing weight
xxx
good luck hun! (((hugs)))

I know how you must be feeling, but please don't beat yourself up and think you're a failure!! It's these negative thoughts that cause people to give up and then ALL the hard work is undone! All you have to do it look at what you have acheived with pride, have a really good week and next week you'll be surprised how much you'll lose- it has a habit of working like that! My friend put on 4.5lb the other week after having a blow-out over a weekend and like you was devastated, but the following week she lost 6lb!! We have to look at SW over a long period of time because it's not about the naughty 'day' or 'weekend' or even 'week' , it's about what we do the majority of the time, and we should all be in this for the long haul anyway!!XXXX

last week I put on five pound because of self sabbatage reasons and mega bing eating. However, I decided to take action and get my arse back into gear. I have tried my best to stick to 15 even if i g over I transfer it on the next day and have notead each day on my diary whether it was 100% so when I feel negative I can monitor how well I have achieved.
Oh and my work has payed off as this week I lost 2lbs

I agree that it probably is bloat, so stick to the plan 100% this week and you probably will lose it.
Don't knock yourself. We all have bad days and/or weeks. Just dust yourself down and stick to plan. You'll be fine.
Good luck!

I knw exactly how u feel! I put on 2lb last week and was gutted but knew really a 2lb gain was nothing in comparison to the weekend of fancy free and fun id had!! Been working really hard this week trying to give it 100% and working hard on fit log to try gt a loss!! fingers crossed for us both I know everyones been there but always feel like ur alone when it happens to begin with!! thats why this forum is so good!! xx
