Do you really think chewing gum would be bad - I know we are not allowed but I am SO hungry and I want to chew something!!! Surely it would be better than food!?!?!

Any thoughts???

Thanks

i am not sure what effect it will have on you but i was told that it will make you feel more hungry as it is fooling your stomach that you are actually going to eat something, that is why you cant chew chewing gum when you are going to have a general for an op either...i have known people to chew gum on lipotrim but i dont think it is advisable.

how long have you been doing lipotrim? if you are in your first week i promise you that you wont feel hungry anymore after around day 5 onwards....your brain sometimes fools you into thinking that you are hungry but usually it is caused through boredom or emotional stress or it could be that it is the time that you would normally eat....make sure you drink at least 2 litres of water, make a hot drink, have a soak in the bath, call a friend for a chat, do something to help take your mind off of it, i am day 12 and the last few days have been so easy, i feel great and am not hungry at all, not even thinking about food to be honest :) it will get easier....Good Luck x

Chewing gum has a lot of carbs in it per piece. Big no no as it will pull you out of ketosis!

Chewing stimulates the saliva which tells your stomach to expect food. So if no food comes you then begin to feel hungry and even more at risk at indulging in "just one piece"

So to avoid the enhanced risk its best not to chew but to drink lots of water. At first it might not seem like it fills you up but it really really does help with the hunger.

Good luck!!
