Time to make some little changes?

I've been doing SW for 27 weeks and have lost 3 stone 12....I have found that since chrismas my losses have been up and down and unpredictable. I'm trying to re-jig things at the moment and have been trying to make sure am getting lots of superfree and superspeeds and I have realised I need to really up my exercise as am apparently using up 100's less calories a day just by weighing less! Phew...its a great diet as they go but at the moment am finding it all a bit mind boggling! Just needed to get that off my chest!!
Any tips or advice to help of course very welcome! :)

upping your exercise is a great start! do you do anything at the mo? they say to start slowly, so walking is a good one, and swimming.

well done on losing 3stone 12! that's fab and in such a short time!!!

haha! don't do too much at first, just start slow. walk say twice a week for half hour, then up it to three times a week, then up it to three times a week but 45 minutes etc time etc etc.

it's important to exercise, not just for weight loss, but for fitness and muscle gain and for a little bit of time for yourself :)

Exercise is a good idea....if you go to group you could work towards the body magic awards....im currently doing my gold...2 more weeks to go...its quite good motivation sometimes because if im coming to the end of the week and dont fancy doing anything...i think to myself i need to to get the award! Good luck! :)

There is a wii fit team in the teams section, I don't know if you've seen it. Basically you do 6 hours in a month so it's really relaxed but kinda a little achievement for yourself to aim for when you have spare time. x

Thanks Amy thats a good idea, my consultant doesn't mention the body magic awards very much but if I was to say I was doing it I'm sure I'd get them, though I've not known anyone have a bm award since I've been at the group!

Kikikisses, I've only just got my wii fit so want to get used to it first but the wii fit team could be something to look into further on maybe.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone :)

maybe trying a dab at different recipes - variety is the spice of life and gets your body ou of the automatic mode. it is so easy to be repetative with food, its just a suggestion but expercise is definately a good one :)

I am exactly the same- was full of a cold yesterday and wanted to stay in bed, but I knew that if I didn't log exercise from yesterday I would have to restart my award (on week 4 of 8 for gold award) so I got my gear on and got up and did it- felt great afterwards.

Emsie- I think it's really important that you do things you will actually enjoy. I personally could never join a gym as I know I wouldn't last long. I started with swimming, then me and OH started playing badminton which we now LOVE. I now go to 'bums, legs and tums' classes which are hard but lots of fun and I have a Davina DVD which I get up on set mornings extra early to do- also saw 'zumba' dance classes advertised at my sports centre recently which I am seriously considering.

I have built all this up from doing zero exercise (and always assuming I hated it). It really does boost your weight loss, but also gives your body more definition and I have TONS more energy now than I used to- but my best advice is make it fun and you are more likely to embrace and stick to it

Well...still not felt up to much between feeling crappy, being busy and teenager daughter disturbing sleep 3 nights in a row!!
But have arranged to go swimming tomorrow evening with a friend.....one of my fave exercises and hopefully having arranged to meet a friend will give me that push to go!....lets hope she doesn't cancel he he!
Hope you are feeling better cocktail princess!

I love swimming and now that it's getting a bit warmer and less rainy I'm gonna try and go once a week. I'm thinking of upping my exercise too. I do a LOT of walking now, but I think I need to add in some Wii Fit/Just Dance again and swimming when I can afford to. I seem to go through phases of doing exercise, I just can't seem to keep it going-except the walking.
Good luck, but definitely don't overdo it at first and do things you will enjoy :D

If your losses have been up and down since Christmas, your losses BEFORE Christmas must have been phenominal for you to have lost so much in 27 weeks!! Well done- it's amazing to lose basically 4 stone in 6 calendar months!! You are averaging exactly 2lb per week! I can see why you're getting frustrated though if things have been a bit jiggly recently and you're sticking to plan! Why don't you try varying your exercise, and trying lots of new foods- that way you trick your body and give your metabolism a boost! I've heard from several different sources that bodies respond well to change when people are on weight loss plans.X
