Should I be hungry?!?

I normally eat a lot but I've been doing a Total VLCD plan since Wednesday and haven't been hungry yet. I've read some of the testimonials which say the first few days are the worst until your body gets used to it.
I had a huge takeaway on Tuesday and started the diet on Wednesday (I haven't cheated at all) and I'm wondering if my body is still living off the calories from Tuesday rather then burning my fat yet.

My question being, am I likely to feel very hungry in the next few days or do you reckon - for whatever reason - I've missed the worst of it?!?
My other theory is that I have done so little activity that I'm not using 600calories in a day! Granted I've not attempted any exercise yet but I work all week so I do move lots! (mainly desk job but involves walking to different departments throughout the day).

What do you reckon?

you'll use around 1500 calories at least if you laid in bed all day, can work out your individual how many calories you need to stay at same weight/lose weight online, google 'calorie intake to lose weight' x

You are on day 4 if you started on wednesday and this is when ketosis should be kicking in and usually day 4/5 is the worst and it is normal to be feeling hungry and generally rotten but if you can make it past this then you'll be in ketosis and well away! Stay strong and good luck for your first weigh in xx

Cheers for the quick reply and Wishes of good luck for weigh in Lexyell.
Well done with your loss too, I'm amazed you maintained during Christmas - that shows real will power!

I managed to get into ketosis without too much trauma this time, so perhaps you might just have got lucky. I think it helps that I've fasted before for spiritual reasons so my body knows the ropes a bit and doesn't have a complete panic! Hope you continue feeling good.:stickdance:

I wasn't hungry when I started either.
I reckon I was just lucky.
