Hi I have been doing Slimming World for a month now and have lost a stone (woo!) but have been sticking to original and green days. Please could someone explain extra easy to me, i can't get my head around mixing original and green together!
Thanks
Becky

All red and green foods are free.
have a third superfree foods with each meal (fruit and veg, not peas, parsnips, potatoes, sweetcorn, beans)
One A choice and one B choice
Up to 15 syns
Try to snack on superfree foods

That's it. Easy!

If you take a look at your book from the superfree section, the blurb does explain it quite well. Superfree foods are the key to sucess. Also some of the members limit their pasta and rice intake, as they find this suits them better. I only have 100g of pasta for eg as a portion, as I find too many of those kinds of carbs hard to process. I do love ee tho it fits in really well with my family :)

damn it! had missed this point and have been eating loads of peas and sweetcorn, and bought a big bag of parsnips to roast at the weekend.

Note to self: read more carefully next time!

You can still have roasted parsnips, you just can't count them as your 1/3, same goes for pes and sweetcorn :)

Peas, I believe, are a Superspeed food though so it's still good to have them :)

I just don't understand the science of ee: being able to mix food from red days with food from green days in the same meal without it be classed as a HE. Need to get my head around this. Going out for a Thai meal tonight so was hoping to have an ee day ie rice with a meat dish but not sure what to have - any ideas?!

A lot of people do struggle getting EE into the heads, as they are so used to eating red & green. Not me! I fell off the wagon a few times previously as I found red & green so restrictive and I wanted them together. Therefore, for me, EE is a dream and ever so easy.
Why not read this thread, as it is very helpful:

With regard to the Thai meal, I am not very familiar with all the names as I have seldom eaten it but I would stick to as much plain food, without too much sauce as that is where the syns lie, and stick to boiled rice, which is free on EE.

Enjoy, and good luck!
