I have lost 42.5lbs since May 09 on this diet. I only have 6.5lbs left to go but I seem to have hit a wall I just cant shift this last bit. Anyone been in this situation or can anyone give any advice on how I can give my body a kick back into action. I havent changed my eating habits so I cant put it down to that x

Not really sure what to sugest Hun, but maybe your body is happy at where is is and you may need to change your target weight. I would have a chat with your Consultant to see what she would suggest. Well done on the loss so far though!!

Fantastic result to date - well done you!
Although I've still a way to go right now, when I lost a lot of weight before, I too hit that 'wall' - what I found worked, was upping my exercise levels.
Not sure what you do right now? This may be something to think about.
Really hope that it starts to shift again for you!!!!

Wow! Well done you!
Have you tried the Superfree soup challenge, I did this last week and lost 2lb in 4 days.

Thank you for all of your advice.

I spoke to my consultant and she basically said as there is no such thing as your body not wanting to loose any more which was really helpful (not)

I really struggle with my exercise I work 3 days a week, do a part time uni course and I have a one year old. My exercise consists of chasing him around soft play areas and getting out for a walk 2/3 times a week but thats only for an hour or so each time.

What is the Superfree Soup Challenge? x

You said that you haven't changed your eating habits. Well I would say that is exactly what you need to do. When athletes are training for an event they don;t start a training programme and then carry on doing the same thing all the time, they continually change it to challenge their body. You need to do the same with weight loss so different HEs, different days, different foods, and different recipes. It's easy to get in a rut when you've been following the plan for any length of time. You may find this is enough to kickstart things again.

I agree with Circes^^^

Also, something that my Consultant mentioned last week, was that when you started losing weight you were carrying an additional 42lb - imagine carrying a rucksack with 8 bags of potatoes in it - that burns a lot more calories!

To get the last few pounds shifted, consider either more exercise, perhaps doing what you do but in a way that burns a few extra calories - walk a bit quicker, stairs not escalator etc! Or consider your portions sizes - are you still eating for the bigger you, are you eating more than you need to now that you are slimmer?
And lastly of course, you could simply increase the amount of superfree food you are eating - that should shift those last stubborn pounds!

I copied this from someone else on here but I basically halved all the ingredients (didn't have a big enough pan) and still got about 6 portions of this soup.

1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils
2 can chopped tomatoes
1 can baked beans
handful of split lentils
2 large leeks
1 large onion
4 medium carrots
2 parsnips
1 green, red and yellow pepper
2 beef stock cubes
salt & Pepper
Mixed herbs
water (enough to cover all ingredients)

Chop and put all veg into a pan, add everything thing else and cover with water, bring to the boil and simmer until soft.
