Only being told about Extra Easy Plan? Anyone else?

When i joined Slimming world 3 weeks ago I was only told about the Extra Easy plan as it was the best to do? Anyone else just been told that,I wouldn't even know how to do the others, supose I could read about them, but we are not encouraged to do them.......how does extra easy work for you? or is there one better than the other.....CONFUSED!

I'm following EE and I'm on my third week. I lost 4lbs the first week and 2 the second, so it's working. I tried red and green days before and just found them too limiting and confusing. I think with EE you might get a slower weight loss, but I don't know, I can eat easily on EE so I'm happy on it.

Currently i am on Original (Red) days where i have unlimited lean meat and fish, and a limited amount of carbs as you have 2 HEA and 2 HEB (not all carbs are HEB!) this suits me as i bulk out my meals with veggies and have a balanced diet (IMO!) if you want any more info please look at my food diaries in the subsection!

I end up not having third of my plate with free foods on EE, so with Red days I feel more in control! just a personal choice, as im know if done correctly, the EE plan works for people! I just overcarb on mugshots/couscous/pasta and therefore eat way too much, so have to have Red days!

The green and red plans are explained in your food optimising book (pages 28 and 32) and there are sample menus on the website.

Also, if you ask your consultant to explain the red and green plans to you, she will do so.

I was yold about each day, TBH not to much detail about EE, but thats fine as I do Red & green.

I don't quite get the EE TBH - I don't see how you can still eat everything??? I know about filling your plate 1/3 free foods, but I find believe it or not that that would restict me!

I tend to stick to red days & am not missing out as I still have the carbs using my HE's.

If your not sure, you should ask your C to go through it with you. :)

When I joined we only had Original & Green but I have noticed now that new members only get told about the EE plan, I can't get my head round it properly to be honest and I know the C did a class talk about EE - all the old members were so confused by the end of it, I don't know how you can lose weight with it, I tried to do it one week and got myself in such a mess I went back to what I had done before!

funny isn't it I have had a read of the red and green days and I find that confusing!! supose you do what suits and easy to understand....I do think the EE Plan is easy as you can choose to limit your carbs or protien as you wish as its all free,I aways have my healthy A Option as milk and my healthy B Choice as weetabix (or somthing silmlar) and then eat freely and snack on free food....hope it works for me as I love this kinda diet.....I think if you didn't have a diet head on then you could easy go over board on the EE plan as there aren't many limits but Im ok with that and know im on a diet therefore I limit my potions....the synes help me the best as lots of thing I would eat you have to syn so that stops me big time!! I weigh up if its worth it or not! ;)

In the past(a couple of years ago) when I have done SW I did red & green days. I struggled and lost about 10lb in 5 months.

This time, my consultant explained EE to me and it "clicked" quite easily for me so much so that I have lost 1stone 4lb in 9 weeks! EE does work, particularly on green days I wouldn't have any extra veg but EE forces you to rethink and I have become more creative with my meals.

on my first week we was told about EE and said just give it ago and then decide .... i was ok i will try, and have stuck to EE and love every day and lost every week since,

I started last week and definately EE was talked about and encouraged more. However I have real food fads, and can't manage veg other than mushrooms and onions, so I'm doing mostly green with a few red here and there as 1/3rd with every meal wouldnt be doable.

Extra Easy, original or green?!

You should have had all three explained to you.
Extra easy is as it sounds but reduceds the number of b choices you can have.

Green has still had the greatest loss for me when I have needed it but I like EE for the normal weeks.

Original can make you feel full for longer and is good for when you work shifts or running a marathon.

In the end its your choice. EE will be the easiest to follow for a new starter but you can get better numbers from original and green and when you get down to the last few pounds for target I bet you swap to green.

My wife and I did EE and as of last week we are 14st lighter

Good luck

14st?!?! wow!!! well done!

I did EE for the first four weeks, last week was my first time of doing Green and Red. I like them all and swap between them. I am going to 'try' to stick to green and red more, but EE is good when im out and on the go etc.

I have been doing SW for 7 weeks now (22lbs lighter) and rarely do EE as I just dont trust myself to go overboard !!! I mainly stick to red but every so often I get a real need for pasta !!! We were told about all 3 days at induction.
Do the consultants get a bonus on weight loss I wonder?

I have done EE and found that I loose very little and even sts. I do stick to Red and Green Days and prefer them. However just recently instead of Green Days (I have 6 Red and 1 Green), I have been changing my Green Day to an EE day.
I would suggest that you speak to your Consultant as she should have explained all 3 plans to you when you enroled.

My problem with EE is the extra veg, I have IBS which is triggered by too much veg but only on certain weeks of the month (blimmin hormones lol), so when I go on monday I hope I'll have all three explained.

The Veg is easy 1/3rd of the plate is super free foods. Its the Success Express with 2/3rds of the plate with SFF and 1/3rf free (on either original or green) that is tooooooooooo much lol

I have been doing EE because as a vegetarian there aren't many differences between EE and Green - I like the fact that I can have less HEA and HEB because it feels more like a diet - if that makes sense?

BodyOptimise.com really promotes EE and it's not easy to find information on Green days, I've been trying this evening and it really is EE all the way. I am new to SW but I gather it's new? Maybe when the novelty wears off the focus will go back to the original plans.

I started 4 weeks ago & the consultant only told me about EE, I lost 3.5lbs the first week & STS the 2nd week even though I'd done it all right - I figured out that I wasn't eating the 1/3 super foods & couldn't at every meal so I changed to Green days as I have done SW in the past & know it works & lost 2lbs!! I'm sticking to Green days & maybe will have a EE day an odd time.

I agree that the Consultants are putting too much emphasis on EE & not telling you enough about Red & Green

i love ee but i've been on sw for years and have done red and green i think u need to know red and green to understand ee.
u should of been told all plans hun its wrong that u haven't but they r in your book and simple enough to understand
