Hi
This is the first time ive heard of this version of the diet. Can someone please give me a list of whats allowed. Are tomatoes allowed and beef?? and are bell peppers normal peppers (sorry for my ignorance lol)

thanks!

As I'd written in a similar post in the same forum earlier:

And the protein portion weight is for raw values. :) It's up to 200g of poultry and non-oily fish (such as tuna/prawns), 200g quorn/quark, 150g red meat and oily fish (such as salmon/mackarel).
You can have a cereal bowl of cooked veggies such as cauliflowers, broccoli, carrots, onions, green bell peppers, cabbage, turnip - and salad, including tomatoes (I think?), cucumber, lettuce, radishes ... Probably the volume of stuff like lettuce/cucumbers/tomatoes I wouldn't worry about as they are only about 15-20 calories per 100g. Vegetables are a bit higher - and are about 35-50 calories per 100g (raw).
As long as you don't exceed about 800-850 calories per day (including foodpacks/milk etc) you're absolutely fine. :)

Or ask your LLC for a booklet! :p

Otherwise - yep, bell peppers are 'normal' peppers or capsicums. For some reason we were only allowed green ones, though personally I ate all colours.

I dont go to lighterlife too expensive :D just thought if can eat peppers beef and tomatoes on LL not going to make any difference with CD either :)

You have done great minerva, were there any other things you allowed yourself ie the diff colour peppers. I think if its what keeps you on track then worth having the little extras. When I was doing AAM on CD I got soooo sick of Chicken and white and green veg (as thats the only protein I liked on it) thats what made me give it up. Thought if i could have just a little more variety then maybe can stick with it. Thanks for your help x

Oh just seen onions? they are not on AAM either onions and peppers are my two favourite veg so would definately help keep me interested. How long did it take you to get to goal minerva? and did you do LLL all the way or did you start with total abstinence?

Thankyou Mandy x

I didn't allow myself anything else extra outside of the LLLite plan - I actually didn't stick to the 'green' pepper thing strictly because my partner doesn't like them very much - and since I was the one cooking - we came to the compromise to include other colours so that I didn't have to cook a seperate meal every day! The only difference was that he'd have noodles/rice/potato with his! So it worked well. :)

I'm not sure why the AAM on CD programme is so strict - we are allowed pretty much all protein based foods (except pulses) - though depending on their 'fat' content (i.e. oily fish/red meat) the weights allowed changed. I'm surprised that you're not allowed onions either! I fell in love with onions and all sorts of vegetables while doing Lite - I honestly can't have a day without eating AT LEAST my 5-a-day now!!

As for the weight loss part... I did abstinence from January 2008 - November 2008 and lost 7 stone, then went back on LLLite in February 2009 until June 2009 and lost a further 2 stone. ... After June I calorie counted until November 2009 and lost a further 2 stone to an unfortunately unhealthy level.

Right now I'm in a state of flux - lots of life chaos at the moment! I've regained about half a stone (but that's a good thing!) - and am in the process of maintenace. Just need to watch what I do carefully now due to so much stress and uncertainty in my life - but that's ok. We all go through tough episodes in our lifes - and I know not to let it spiral out of control afterwards. :)

I'm sorry I can't advise you any further on the food choices allowed on LLLite (so that you could amend your CD plan) - I have thrown out my LL booklets/guides a while ago when I had to move out of my flat! There is a thread I posted somewhere on this forum however which details the week-by-week guide to the RTM program - the first week is very close to what is allowed on a weekly basis in Lite.

Best of luck!

Minerva x
