Solar Lights for the Garden

I wanted to buy some, but not sure which ones to get. I would like some that are nice and bright and without any wires.
Does anyone have any they recommend?

I think they're great too, but the ones we've got don't give out much light - they are more for decoration and indicating the path etc rather than lighting as such.

They vary a lot, some have orange light, some blue, and the newest ones talk about white light, but are still not very bright - just don't want you to be disappointed!

I think that your best bet would be to visit your nearest DIY store or garden centre, and see what advice they give.

We had some and loved them, until one day we woke up and some horrid person had stolen every single one of them from the garden during the night!!!!!

I am taking them with me on holiday as a gift for my in-laws and as the power goes out quite frequently there was thinking maybe they could double up as well as a lantern, but guess they are not that bright then?? Also do you have to change the bulbs on them?
Thinking if it's really worth the hassle of taking them.

Hubby says he's not had to change the bulbs on ours, but has, on occasions, needed to replace the rechargeable batteries on some in the spring - after a long dark winter they sometimes don't 'pick up'.

However, all of ours are several years old, so it's still worth checking out the latest ones before you decide!
