Hi guys, I am just coming from weight watchers although i have not done it for a long time i now gained 3 stone .. and fancied giving slimming world a go..

I will be starting monday, I am doing it at home at first following my mums book.. Then if go well then next month i want to sign up..

any help or information will be great..
Could you also tell me how much you lost and how long it has took you??

Hi anntext. and welcome!! You'll love it here! We have so much fun, but be warned- it's very addictive!! Seriously though, it's so fab for recipe ideas, syn values, having a whinge about anything and everything and getting advice about tricky situations, as well as shouting from the rooftops about an acheivement you're particularly proud of!! It'll really egg you on!! In answer to your question, I've lost 27 lb in 18 weeks (since end of October) which is 1.5 lb per week! I'm having to learn being on this forum NOT to compare myself to others! It can be a bit disheartening seeing others have such brilliant losses, but we're all different so I'm happy with my rate and I'm confident I'll get there in the end! I have 3 stone 3 lb to go! Good luck and most of all enjoy!!X
 
Welcome to minimims. My weight loss is very slow but at least its going in the right direction, and I can still eat!
 
Hi there,

I started SW end of July and have lost 2 stone, but I've had about 6 weeks in total when I've been 'off plan' due to various reasons so it averages to around 1lb a week. People might think it seems really slow but the way I see it is that I didn't put all the weight on overnight so I'm not going to lose it overnight either! Over the past several months SW has taught me healthy eating habits and my relationship with food has totally changed as well. Whilst being on SW not once have I felt I was on a 'diet' and I have never felt hungry or deprived.

Good luck with SW and here's hoping for a good first week loss!

Your right it do not matter if its one pound or 3 pounds.. the fact that your doing something about it ..is a good thing..
