Calico's LL Ramblings

Hi everyone!

I thought it might help me to get some of my thoughts down on here and start a diary =)
I’m currently halfway through my 5th week of Lighter life. I’ve not really had any problems so far on the diet and the only side effects I’ve had was feeling really cold all the time for the first week or so.

I’m surprisingly finding the lifestyle change pretty easy, although when I say ‘easy’ my friends get the wrong impression. I mean that I know I’m going to get through all this and I’m not ‘dying’ to have normal food but of course in other views of course it’s not easy resisting temptation every day.
Speaking of friends, mine haven’t exactly been very supportive of me in the last few weeks. I’ve had everything from ‘it’s not healthy’, ‘you’ll get really ill’ to ‘I heard people die on that diet!’ and the good old ‘you’ll put the weight on as soon as you start eating again’ (which always makes me think ‘gee, thanks for believing in me guys!’)

It’s weird but the comments like that kinda spur me on to show them that I can do it and I will keep the weight off when I get to my target.

On the other hand my family are very supportive of me – my mum is always willing to listen to my ramblings about weight loss and my dad’s actually paying for Lighter life for me =D

I’ve been making a few of the recipes that you can make with the lighter life packs and bars and some of them are so yummy! Especially the biscuits you can make with the bars (although I tried to make them with the cranberry bars yesterday and they don’t work lol!)

I survived my first going out meal on Monday – I’d been out with my friends and they decided they wanted to go to Frankie’s & Bennies (which I usually LOVE!) and I managed to sit there whilst they ate and drink a pot of black tea. The strange thing was I was expecting to be thinking ‘oh my god, that looks so good!’ but none of those feelings were there – I didn’t actually want any! I was very content with my tea =)

I’m fortunate enough to have a gym in my house (my dad went through an exercise stage, lol!) so I’ve been making sure I get in there every day after college and before work. It’s another thing that’s surprised me as before I hated exercising (we’ve had the gym for a good year and I’ve been in about 4 times) but now I can’t wait to get in there and I’m actually happy whilst I’m doing it!
Anyway, I think that’s enough of my ramblings for now!
