Well hopefully this is the first day to the new me. I did CD last year and lost a stone and managed to keep it off until Xmas!! So I am hoping the weight will come off quite easily with this one. I hope the shakes and soups are tasty :)

I hope you like them too
there seems to be people on here that like the different ones

I am eating them all
of all my unfavourites
Strawberry, and tomato & basil (on that one, mainly because the name intimates its nice, when it should be called watery tomato )
Good luck

talk to us ;D
we've been through what you are going to
and we are nosy & helpful

Oh, and welcome !

Welcome and good luck aliclair. Although there's nothing that I would go out of my way to buy I don't dislike any of the flavours. For me its a means to an end.

Thanks guys, will let you know how I get on later in the week! Once the pounds start to drop I am sure it will become easier :)

Hello. :)

Agree with both the above, I'm not mad about the strawberry shakes or the tomato soup either but not to the extent that I can't have them.

Experiment a bit and you can get most of the stuff palatable if not enjoyable. I like my shakes thinner than recommended and with a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder (tiny sprinkle, about 1/4 teaspoon) or occasionally hot with a sweetener. Salt, pepper, chilli, garlic granules and/or herbs added to taste can all make a difference to the soups.

Wotcha! :wavey:

What they said.

We all have different preferences and make our own amendments to the spacefood, so if there's anything you don't get on with, do ask. Would definitely recommend upping the water content to 400ml though. (I usually have the shakes hot in the morning - 100ml cold, 300ml hot, sweetener or two...)

If you've done CD you'll know the first week can be a bit of a trial for some, but do come back and let us know how you get on. :):)

Following on from what I said earlier - rather than type something similar again, I'm going to just quote myself from another thread:-

As a product, I'm getting on OK with it. As long as you remember what it actually *is*, (ie a low calorie nutrient delivery system) and don't expect every last product to be 'delicious' or 'tasty', they're not actually that bad. There will always be a flavour or two you don't really get on with, but there's a developing 'swapsies' thread. Better than Lipotrim was a decade ago, anyway.(*bleurgh!*) If you keep it in context, I certainly find I can live with it.

:)

Thanks for the link, gave me a few ideas.

Have had a banana shake for lunch today, was a bit bland but not too bad, had a toffee, nut and raisin bar this morning which was suprisingly tasty!

Welcome to here aliclair:)

You may find that even if you have one or two that you do not particularly like at first that after a week or so your tastebuds become aclimatised but it really does help to break the 'boredom' to use your own combination of herbs and spices to add interest.

I like them all but my partner can't stand the smell of the chocolate shakes.
Now why does that make me want to have the chocolate shakes all the time?!

Ah I realised I haven't said hello yet!:welcome:
There is a thread on here with some tips n tricks for making the 'spacefood' (hehe I like that, Miss D, ooh it makes it all seem a bit more fun) easier on the tastebuds.

It's dehydrated, comes in foil pouches and was probably developed in a test tube. Ergo, spacefood

True. True. Once again your powers of observation astound me :D
