l started the slimming world plan last thursday l have lost nothing but hadn't gained either (red days only) until yesterday l had a green day and this morning l have gained 1, 1/2lbs do you think it will take long for my body to reajust or am l doomed to a carb free life please any advice would be great

By not eating proper food, and losing so much so quickly, you have totally confused your system. You need to give it time to recover.

1. *PLEASE!!* do not weigh yourself every morning. Our bodies fluctuate weight constantly, and to eat carbs one day, and declare it a failure the next is not being fair to yourself.

2. Ensure you are eating enough. You have successfully followed meal replacement plan, but this usually requires that you are hungry (at least some of the time). Being hungry on SW will *stop* the plan from working - it can be a tough one to get your head around

3. Give it time. All SW plans (green, red, EE etc) *will* work if you follow it 100% - ie free foods, superfree foods, HeX AND syns.

4. Give your body a few weeks to recover from your previous diets.

take care, you are not doomed to a carb free life unless you choose to be ;)

I have come over from cambridge and have had a bit of a hard time getting my head around being "allowed" to eat but I am getting there and am really enjoying it.

I am losing slower than others and am averaging a lb a week which is obviously very slow compared to a vlcd but it is also the sensible way to lose weight and actually losing faster than 2-3lbs a week is bad as you tend to lose lean muscle instead of fat.

A vlcd diet is also very hard to maintain afterwards!
DONT weigh everyday, its a bad idea on ANY diet.

Look at your weightloss over a month rather than a week
