few weeks at slimming world, I have been havng no success. I have stuck to the plan 100% only to lose half a pound and maintain!

I was thinking is it perhaps because I am already in the normal BMI range this is happening? Should I reduce syns etc to have an impact?

I dont get how people with say a 5 stone weight difference can eat the same and still lose weight??

I have definately noticed that my losses have slowed as I got lighter- because I was eating the same as I did when I started.

I think the nearer a 'normal' weight, the more you have to start working on portion control. Also making sure your first choice for snacks between meals are superfree seems to help lots.

If you don't want to cut back on what you eat, maybe try increasing your exercise routine?

Good luck

Yeah I go to the gym twice a week, but might try and up it to 3 times or stay abit longer when Im there!
I do have quite big portions so it may be that. Its annoying sticking to it and maintaining when I know when I werent on SW I maintained my weight even though I went to chiquitos every saturday and drunk a bottle of southern comfort!

I agree with the above, lower your portion sizes or reduce your syns, up your water intake and exercise. If you dont want to lower your portion sizes try increasing the super free foods especially Speed and Superspeed ones and lowering the free food.

I have just started drinking green tea and fruit flavoured tea and that has given me a bit of a boost. You just need to find whats right for you.

You only have 3lbs to go so although your loss is slow you are very close. Well done for you loss and good luck :)

I know it's annoying, doll but just think how much healthier you are as a result of SW. It practically FORCES you to eat the right amounts of calcium, grains, fruit and veg.

I know I could do a 1200 calorie diet and lose weight by eating crud, but I feel so good by this method- the weight loss is lovely, but feeling so alive, fresh, non-toxic and energetic is well worth it

The only other thing I can suggest is you vary your diet. I tend to eat the same foods day in day out. But I notice if I have a different variety of food I have a loss.

Or you could have a different hexb each day, apparently this works.

I'm also in the same boat as you, I've just 4lbs to lose & then will be at target, it's so frustrating to be so close.

Hi Becky, you are going to have a difficult journey as you bmi is already healthy and you only have 3lbs left to lose.

Stick with it 0.5lb a week for 6 week and your at target!

The reason you have to reduce your calorie intake as you get lighter is because your muscles don't have to work as hard carrying all that extra weight around and therefore need less energy (calories). Larger people can eat more because their bodies have to work harder to function.
Keep going Becky! You're nearly there and doing a fab job - bet you look and feel fantastic! xxxx
