Just wondering if any of you that follow sole source ever have/had migraines in the 1st week? If so what did you do about the diet, did you carry on.

I had 2 in 1 day on sunday which caused me to eat something off plan to try and get over them. :sigh::sigh: I normally only have migraines perhaps once a year!!

I'm obviously out of ketosis now and have to start all over again tomorrow
So fed up but am raring to go again. I will get thin lol

I have been a migraine sufferer since I was 9. I actually found I have less migraines as a rule when on VLCD - I did have a blinder during my first week the first time round a few years back, but this time, nothing. It's just your body starving for carbs. As soon as your ketosis kicks in and your water balance is right, you should be fine. Are you taking triptans for your migraine?

In the first week i too had a few bad migraines i think it is from the caffiene withdrawal, i just take a couple of migraine tablets and ride it out. Always keep the nuerofen (think that is how you spell it) handy!

I'm on my 2nd day and I've had really bad headaches all day today and yesterday. Hoping they're going to go away after a few days.

Good tip! I have had on average about 20-24 migraines a year since I was a kid, and I am starting to think there is a certain chemical in a food I regularly eat that is triggering mine. I am not intolerant of any food type, so it must be an additive or preservative that I come across often in my regular diet, because being on a VLCD has really drastically reduced how often I get attacks. Migraines are strange things. I have seen a neurologist several times and my GP is great, but although you get some good advice and they've been great about keeping me on the most effective drugs as they come out, no one is really certain what causes them and how to "cure" them. I wish they did!
