Mice

I have kept mice for nearly 5 years now and currently have 6 of them Here's the gang:

This is either minstrels or orca, when i got them they were in different cages because of my dissertation that I did with them, but now I can't tell them apart lol:

Anyone else keep mice or am I the only one? Everyone else I know seems to keep ratties lol I would love to have rats but i'm allergic to them

I dont have mice anymore but I had 4 for almost 2 years!
I foster animals and no-one wanted them so thats why I ended up with them for so long. They went to a new home a few weeks ago though and now I miss them

I think next time I get some mice in to foster Im going to keep them! They are just so cute aren't they!

I don't think I could give any of my animals away so probably wouldn't foster any. I'd end up keeping everything lol! Only time i've given animals up was when I got some rescued rats and then realised I was allergic to them, so they went to join my uni housemate's group of rats.

Mice are adorable pets. The 6 I have now, aren't tame. I can handle them but I have to keep hold of their tails otherwise they would escape lol The group of 4 that I had before these guys were very tame, as were my original group of 3. But the group of 4 sisters were so tame they would come when I called and I could feed them choccy drops, which I can't do with my current lot. Some of the others were so lazy sometimes they wouldn't hold the choccy drop while they ate so I would have to hold it for them lol was cute tho.

So far i've had 15 mice altogether. the first group I got were Kiara, Stripe and Caramel. Caramel lived to be 2 and a half alot longer than the other 2 and was on her own for a few months until I could get more mice. So I ended up with 4 sisters that needed a home and also I needed some company for caramel. She died a week after I got the sisters, but she lived a long life for a mouse. The sisters were called Bumblebee, Jazz, Starscream and Optimus Prime. 3 of them died when they were 1, but Bumblebee lived until she was over 2. I got 8 mice for my uni dissertation, which included the 6 I still have. The others in this group were aero and Pikachu. Pikachu was interesting because her coat actually changed colour. She went from being siamese, to being brown with strange white markings and then back to siamese.
