Hi Catwoman! Great loss, that's really inspiring! I'm going for my second weigh in tomorrow night. I lost 8lb after my first week , so even a small loss tomorrow will be great! Thanks for replying, I was feeling a little lonesome!!! My target is also 10st - I hope my overall loss is as good as yours!

Good luck ladies - enjoy Lite! Personally I loved the program when I did it February - June last year! Learnt a lot about food and portion control, and I still remember many of these lessons even now.

I must warn you though - some weeks may very well be slow loss weeks - don't despair and push through! :D

Thanks for that Minerva! I've just looked at your weight stats -WOW!! Has it been difficult maintaining?

Hey Marcia :)

It hasn't been too difficult to maintain - but I suppose I do still take it one day at a time. I follow quite strict rules now and have changed my lifestyle and eating habits completely - as well as WHAT and HOW MUCH I eat. I no longer snack in between meals and am generally more concerned with nutritional value of things.

Maintenance isn't magical... it's about knowing what you want at the end of the long road - and knowing that only you hold the power to get there through patience, perseverance and discipline.

Though, I must say - it is an everyday thing. I have to think about my food intake on a daily basis. It is becoming more and more natural to make the decisions, but it will take years for it to become 'automatic'. So in this way, I can tell you - there is no 'easy' way of doing it.

Losing the weight isn't even half the battle. It's only the beginning. :p

Great advice Minerva, thank you. I realised that the losing bit is very much the easy part, having dropped weight on a diet before and then got that, "hey, I'm invincible, I can do what I like now - look at me, I'm thin" kind of attitude, only to be shaken to the core - when before long, I have regained all my loss.
Ain't doin that again!
This time I am really embracing the counselling aspect and while I am off food and on the packs, it is giving me the time to think vey hard about what I want at the end of it all!
I intend to follow Paul McKenna's 'rules' once I am eating real food again - slowing right down and enjoying what I eat and stopping once I am sated. It's not going to be easy to begin with I know, but I am now past 50 and life is too damn short to be messing with being overweight and then having to diet over and over!
You are a real inspiration. Thank you for joining the thread! x
