Hi Isa here..

Just Under 15st 5ft 4 and on a mission!!

Going to count calories (using a free online food diary -*****- am I allowed to post that here? - please edit me if not) and use Wii fit + EA sports active + walking for exercise.

Looking forward to the challenge and meeting you all.

Biggest motivator so far - my colleague who thanks I can't do it. Grrr .... oh ..... yes .... I .... will.

Target - according to the BMI I should be 9st 6 ... but I think 11st would be a huge difference for me and enough for me to feel comfortable in my own skin and more fit and healthy (according to my online calc - at 2lbs a week I should be there by the end of August!)

Wishing all of you all the best in your endeavors ... (did want to say good luck but that sounded wrong somehow - it's not about luck is it?)

Hey,welcome to minimins.

I hate people who say I cant lose weight, they drive me mad!
I hope you do well and show those people that you CAN do it,and you will :)

Alot of people think the bmi chart thingy is a load of rubbish and deciding to lose weight to a number you feel comfortable with is the best way I think.

Hi all

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome and supportive words.

Becky - nice to meet a fellow wii fan!! My faves are boxing and hula hoop.

I find the yoga and muscle training quite hard at the moment - not sure if I will ever be able to do "tree" or "jackknife" (I just do crunches instead) but I will keep trying ... I am already slightly less "unbalanced" !!

I have also just purchased EA Sports - which is more "serious" than wii fit but does seem to build up more of a sweat. (Calories about the same though). Its also nicer to me than that cheeky wee balance board - I think he's telling me my IQ not my age haha.

I've started a thread on Wii in the fitness section so that all we wii fans can talk about our wee wii's (still not got over the name of this console yet !)
