Some Information Required Please

Hello everyone,

I have been considering the Cambridge diet for the last couple of days. I have approx 8 stone to lose. I have managed to find out that there is a councillor in my area, but before I make the call I wondered if you guys could give me some information.

What are the average costs for a week?

What do you receive for your money?

How do you see you a councillor. Do you have to visit them or do they come to you?

How difficult is it to stay on track when you have to cook the meals for your family.

Did you do any exercise to speed things up?

I take blood pressure medicine, would this diet be safe?

Many thanks in advance for any help you may give me. I have my hubbys full support for this, but I just like to weigh up my options before I start something.

Hi, I'm fairly new BUT you will need to get your Dr. to sign your form for permission as you're on meds, try asking the practice nurse, mine did my form. Depending on your Cd lady/man you will have 3 (or 4 depending on your height) shakes/soups which cost around £35 for the week. Some CD counsellors come out to you, others have you visit them, either in groups or singles, mine comes to me & I pay her mileage (very reasonable 25p per mile) You can expect phone calls, emails & any support you need though this does vary from person to person, you should also get booklets detailing how to go on with CD, mostly they are free, though some CDCs charge.
Good luck!xxxxx

:wavey:

mine costs 33 .55
but i have been charged £40 by a former lady i think cost varies depend who you go to

i go to my councillers house (much better means i dont have to run around cleaning up my house)

me i get the powder packs (because i like mixing the cappicinpo in with my coffee --yep im a coffee holic)

how hard is it to cook tea and not slobber erm very in the first week -

this is mad but i find if i excersize i stop loseing weight  ( so i shall remain a couch potato till the end)

blood pressure i dunno about -id go the doctors first and ask him

i promise you once you get started on this and go into ketosis you 'll wonder why you never tried it before

:D

I had to get my form because I take tabs for blood pressure. However the fantastic news 16 weeks in that it has dramatically reduced and the dr is considering stopping the tabs.

I dont struggle cooking my husbands food, i have somehow managed to switch off from it.

Good luck hope you decide to go with the diet, its been the best decision I have ever made.

I have been on Cambridge for 10 weeks and have lost 2 stone 7 pounds and a staggering 31 inches from all over, so no doubt it works, the cost can be as little as 33 pounds i think, it does depend on what you have in the way of bars, tetra etc, talk to a councillor, i have found them to be very helpful and supportive, the very best of luck and hope you have a very successful diet journey.

hi there, the others are right about needing the form signing if you take meds, the rrp of cd packs are £33 for people under 5'10 and £44 for people over 5'10 [need 4 packs a day]
but remember that those are rrp's counsellors can charge what they like really
