Without more information, it's impossible to tell what's not working. Have you posted food diaries so we can have a peep to see if there's anything awry?

have not been keeping one - maybe I need to do that after WI on Wed.... and go with red/green days? I already do lots of exercise...just need to get the food side sorted!!!

it can take the body a while to adjust too - my first few weeks were very flaky but since then I have been pretty consistently loosing between .5 and 2.5 lbs (and I might add with little reason that I can spot for the changes!)

I have started to take my weightloss over 4 weigh ins, I find that for 2 weeks my loss is quite small, say 1-2 lbs then I have 2 quite big losses 4-5 lbs, so I am averaging about a stone a month.

I have a lot to lose so I know my weightloss will slow down, and this is not what someone with less weight to lose will probably experience, but just thought it might be something to consider about looking at your weightloss every month instead of every week.

Good luck, I have heard say that week 2 is usually not the best week for recorded losses as your body is adapting to the new food routine, think I heard it on one of the biggest loser programmes.

3 weeks is nowhere near long enough to see whether the plan is going to be right for you - we all fluctuate throughout the month and you could be the kind of person who loses in a 2 or 3 week cycle.

If you did give up, where would you go? You've already done WW and it didn't teach you how to eat healthily long-term. The beauty with SW is that it teaches you habits that can be sustained for life.

Please don't give up - this plan really teaches you to eat well FOR LIFE!

thanks for all your feedback - I will see how I go on Wed and speak to the SW leader...I think I might need to go back to red/green days.....I have changed the way I eat - no snacking on biscuits anymore, have cut out bread, lots of fruit and i dont go over my syns....the only thing I can think of it maybe not eating lots of SS foods on EE days....I dont want to give up - just when you have been good and dont see a result on the scales it gets you down - but thinking back to WW I think first WI in only lost 1.5lbs and lost 3lbs on SW - so I guess I am on the right track...

thanks again for your support...

Your consultant should have asked you to fill out food diaries for the first 4 weeks so they can keep an eye on you and see if you are doing anything wrong. These diaries should be in your pack.

The other thing, and this may come as a shock, but I do think you will spend the rest of your life on some sort of diet - any of us with a weight problem do. Sadly, it goes with the territory! I really think I can never off come off this diet because when I do, I'll put the weight back on again.

Good luck hun, write down what you eat and talk to your consultant. SW works!

I would say, further to all comments above, as you are exercising a lot measure yourself.

You loss may be slower as i can see you dont have a lot to lose.

Also although this is classed a 'diet' really its not, this is only in the sense that you diet to lose weight and on SW you lose weight.

I consider a diet to be where you restrict yourself from having naughty things and normally the things that you like. With this there are no limits to the things you can have an even if you were to leave plan you will never forget the tools which you have been taught, its just whether you decide to use them or not.

Good luck hun

My downfall has always been not doing food diaries and so loosing track of what ive eaten and "thinking" ive done better than I actually have.

It also could be that your not eating your superfree foods, Im having issues with EE as well and I think its down to not eating the superfree foods so im gonna go back to Red/Green this week after weigh in tonight

stick with it, it will kick in, 1lb is a great loss (best tip someone on here gave me was to google image 1lb of fat, its a fair bit.) Also a STS is so much better than a gain which is where you may be if you wernt on plan!

good luck!

As Pesty says, don't forget to measure. Sometimes the inches disappear at a time when your weight is plateauing. But as others have said, 3 weeks is not enough time for your body to get used to the change of eating.

Hang on in there and it'll work for you xx

I think as I have been doing EE I have not been eating all the SS and also not eating all of my syns and none of my HE (only milk) - so need to re-read again.... but I think I will go back to red/green days... going to write today off (just eaten 5 x custard creams!!!!) and start tomorrow doing my red/green days and speak to SW consultant on Wed...

thanks

Dont write off today because it will give you an excuse to binge and then if you have a bad weigh in you will blame the diet instead of yourself!!
Syn the custard creams and carry on as normal.

I have "only" lost 3 1/2lbs in 3 weeks but I have LOST it and thats the main point! I did cambridge in 2008 and lost 7st in 6 months but there was no way my body could maintain it, sw teaches you healthy balanced eating which is the way forward, lose slow and keep it off!

You didnt gain all your weight overnight so dont expect to lose it overnight x
(and yes you can repeat all this back to me when I have a moan about a small loss lol)
