Thanks so much for posting Jez, you get really stuck into his story - had to stop eventually as it was so late and I needed to sleep but will continue where i left off later.
This particularly struck a chord in me:
"Even when I am the same weight for a few days in a row, or the progress is painstakingly slow, I just keep thinking that every day that I am at this new weight is a day that I am not at my old weight - and that is a victory. Every day that I am at the new weight banishes my heavier weight forever. Soon I will lose a little more, and this current victory weight will be the heavier old weight. I just have to keep going".
It is funny as I had been giving carbs a really good amount of thought recently. I had made the decision to reduce them quite a lot after RTM, so reading this was really interesting.
I don't plan to cut them back completely, but I had made the decision to have them only once a day and in moderation.
ie If I eat cereal for breakfast, I won't have bread/pasta/rice/potatoes the rest of the day. If I have a sandwich at lunchtime, I won't eat a carby breakfast/evening meal, if I have carbs at my evening meal I will avoid them earlier in the day. So reading his suggestion of omelette or egg & bacon for breakfast was really useful.
Can't wait to read the rest.
