Coke Zero

Be careful with coke!!

I was addicted to coke, and drank about 3-4 cans per day, with all those funny dangerous ingredients it's just not good for us. I have'nt had a drop of the stuff since Sept'06.;)

What's the current thinking - yes or no? I remember last time it was what got me through - my bottle of Coke Zero mid-afternoon.

Thanks!

K xx

Personally i would say yes - its nice to have something that you can cheer yourself up with if u had a bad day ...rather that than food!!!

:p :D  Lynsay xxx

Although it not on the "approved" list - my cdc said it was ok in moderation - i have a can every now and again.
I think the main concern is just that it may wake up your taste buds and make you crave something else  but i find you just have to have a bit of variety now and again :D

you are allowed 660 ml, a day. which is two cans. I have mine at weekends only like a treat!!, you must not include that in your water intake though.

i have been having a can in the evenings, had this afternoon today as found iwas struggling to sleep, d'oh.

I have a can or small bottle on the day's I work, it help's me make it to the end of my long day's.
Recently on the pink site there was talk of other zero drink's that we might be able to have in moderation, anyone know the outcome of that?

Hi guys - don't want to be a spoilsport, but officially Diet Coke isn't an approved drink because it can knock people out of ketosis. That said some people drink it and are fine with it, so just take it carefully. Bear in mind too that your CD diet is giving your body so much goodness and a diet coke is not exactly a healthy option! :p

My advise to clients is that if an occasional glass will help you stick to the diet, then so be it, but if you can manage without all the better.

Yes I think you're right there and that's the main difference, but even malic acid can cause problems if you're very carb sensitive.

Kangy, yep coke zero, is different to diet coke.
I'm doing ok, glad you made the day,you should be very proud of yourself, well done. AS we seak, I'm trying to make chilli crisps, wish me luck.

Cheers Jan, I was interested to know if the m acid made a difference.
Enjoying my chilli crisp,yum yum

Oh thanks Jen I didn't realise there was another acid that did that too! I'm not too carb sensitive (thank goodness) but I will keep an eye and make sure. I think I will use them til I'm off and running and then cut them out.

Penny - never tried the crisps, think I'd destroy them! I'm quite happy with my shakes, though the truffles sound nice so I might give them a go at the weekend.
