Welcome to a bone of contention and countless arguments and disagreements!!!!!

The official SW literature states 5-15 syns per day. Whether man or woman, 5 stone or 50 stone.

However, some people's consultants say aim for 10 syns a day. Personally, I think that this covers you for if you have underestimated any syns during the day. Again, personally, I have between 10-15 syns per day.

Other consultants have told people with a lot of weight to lose, that they can have more than the 15 syns per day. (Having seen your stats, neither you or your girlfriend fall into that category). :)

Actually, forgive me for being nosey, but your bmi isn't that high, so you might find losing weight a bit slow. Your girlfriend's bmi is quite low (officially in the underweight category). I know that bmi is yet ANOTHER bone of contention, but you ought to be aware, that officially SW does not promote itself to those with a low bmi.

BUT.....We are all adults, with our own issues, making our own decisions. So good luck with the plan from sleepy Manchester, UK.

P.S. Sorry for rambling on, and apologies if you think that I've over-stepped the mark.

Have you got the weight/height for your girlfriend right as she is well into the underweight bracket?

I was just about to say that too. Same height as me and 8'11 is way too low.

Agree with the syns 10-15 a day, helps keep you motivated to stick to the plan.

same thoughts here about weight and height ratio.
i think alot of people get a bit muddled between ww points and sw syns,
i dont have many syns during the week maybe 25 which i know isnt alot but i follow the green plan and feel satisfied with "filling" up with fresh fruits home made crisps and lasagne crisps, i do have an options chocolate drink for 2 syns a day though..
by the way are the coconut options 2 syns please

cheers everyone!

we didnt think about checking our BMI. thanks for the heads up and the syn info.

kirsty doesnt want to lose alot but is more supporting me through it. i'd ideally like to be a good stone and a half lighter...lose the moobs and feel better. its more about feeling comfortable in my clothes i suppose!

im full of enthusiams....bought all our food today and made some veggie sushi rolls for lunch tomorrow!

a new day is about to dawn :)
