Hi

PKJellyBean

I like pudding
Just saying hello. I've been on a low carb (non specific) diet since the beginning of January and so far I've lost 16lb. I've no idea if what I'm doing makes sense, but my diet consists of eating the bulk of my carbs early in the day. I tend to try and avoid things like potatoes, pasta etc from the afternoon onwards. If I do have them, then I'll cut right back on the portion sizes. But really I'm only having that sort of food at the weekend i.e. Sunday lunch.

I've also cut out crisps and sweets! :angel09:
I think my diet probably falls in to the very low calorie, because I'm trying to eat only when I'm hungry and to be honest I just don't get that hungry! Obviously before, I was only eating for the sake of it and then eating junk. I'm also doing lots of exercise, which I am really enjoying!

But, I'm looking for food inspiration, because I'm getting bored and I don't want to fall off the wagon!

Good luck to everyone!

Good luck to you too!

Please make sure you are getting enough protein, as well as vitamins and minerals and healthy fats, since you are low carbing.

Don't want you to fall ill.

Well done and keep going.

Hi

Many thanks for that advice.

I take a vitamin and mineral supplement and fish oil. I feel better on this diet than I have ever done on anything else. I tried Atkins many years ago and got terribly ill on it. On this one, even though I have cut my carb intake and it is definitely helping with the weight loss, I don't feel that I'm not having enough carbs. I have no less energy than I did before, in fact I feel like I have a little more. I'm having more protein than I would normally have and I'm trying to be conscious of the fat content in things like dairy.

Anyway, ramble over!
