Thanks to the poster who suggested mixing choc shake with hot coffee or peppermint tea.....tried them both today....only need half the shake for a large mug...so 2 for the price of one....nice to have something hot since I couldn't manage the soup at all...revolting.

im not fussed on the soups... but try vanilla one with coffee.. latte flavour and the strawberry one tasted like angel delight to me lol
good luck!

the reason the shakes were recommended to be made with cold water is cos hot water can breakdown certain constituents such as vitamins in it. should we really be making it with coffee and stuff?

ive had the vanilla one with coffee in it but ice cold and its yum, not had it warm hmmm imay try as long as its gonna be ok
nic x

Hi Thinking, I've been reading your postings with great interest as I've had a few questions myself that I like to dig in with.

Last night I had my first hot shake, choc one. Had come in from a night out and was feeling particularly cold.... burnt my mouth though, but it was nice. But will be looking out for an answer to your question re hot shakes.

Also, I just use an egg beater whisk thing to mix my shakes up in a large jug - wondering if this is sufficient or are we supposed to be really 'shaking it up' to breakdown stuff in the packet????

Don't think hot water or mixing do any or much damage or how do you have the soup? I use a fork and mix mine in a jug from a thick paste and keep adding water a little at a time so its less lumpy. I've been having most of mine hot as I'm so cold, I'm coming up to my 4th weigh in and have had no problems so far x
