Hi Everyone

Me and my nan are going out for the day on thursday shopping then lunch, but im on ss, dont really want to sit there with just my tetra its just i dont see her much as she lives far away shall i have something like you would on ss+ i just dont want to mess this whole diet up. thanks in advance x x

To be brutually honest I would stick with it hun, there will be other lunches you can still enjoy spending time with your nan without the risk of messing up your diet.

It's really up to you, some people will say not to, because along the way you are going to have lots of lunches, birthdays, dinners etc. I have had a SS+ meal myself in those situations but I'm now on SS+ so makes no real difference to me. You could have a chicken salad so would be an SS+ meal and it wouldn't make a huge difference and wouldn't knock you out of ketosis, but it's whether you want that, and whether you'll be able to go ok there's food, but tomorrow back to normal.

I agree with Caroline - maybe you could order a green salad with chicken it would just like doing SS+ for the day and shouldn't knock you out of ketosis. It's unrealistic to think that you are going to put your life on hold whilst on this diet, you just need to account for these occassions within your long term goal and not expect a massive weight lose on the scales when these occur. I'm not avocating going out for every meal offered to you but if you're in it for the long haul (as I am - I expect to be on this until at least November) then you simply can't stop eating until then

I would have the nearest thing on the menu to an SS+ meal. I have had salmon salads and chicken salads before and no effect.

Different people have different ideas with this diet about whether it is ok to have meals, and I think it is down to the individual. If you stick to SS+ principles all will be fine, and I have never had a problem jumping straight back into SS.
