Hi Lucy and :welcome:

Being a meat lover you already have a head start :)

Regulars on my list are - any meat that's on special offer! Salad (lettuce, celery, cucumber and red pepper, cherry tomatoes), Hellemans mayo, cheddar cheese, cream, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower. Loads of eggs!

My tips would be:-

* plan your menu out for the week and shop accordingly, see what the others on here are eating (though remember people are on different phases). Go through the recipe thread to get ideas.

* Stick to the foods on the allowable list for induction.

* Enjoy the food!!

Thats fab thanks!! hate eggs but can live without them lol sorry, another question but how does it work with like Indian take away or making curry?? i assume using puréed low carb veg and loads of meat will do the trick?? xx

Made a nice curry with meat, a little onion, plenty of spices, reduced it quite a bit so it wasn't too watery, added a little cream right at the end and then served it over roughly mashed cauliflower and broccoli.

Could do something similar with a chilli (minus the red kidney beans)

Hi Lucy and welcome love.

Hi Lucy, welcome.

Take-aways are difficult as you never know how much flour & sugar has gone in to the sauce but there's a guide here which is more aimed towards maintenance: Love Eating Out? Love This!

You can make a nice curry with spices & cream or a little shop bought paste goes a long with with a little cream or I like coconut milk.

no flour or sugar goes in to my curry love!

I use meat (or veg), onion, garlic, ginger, oil, tomatoes, corriander, spices and water. This is what most curries have in them.
