Hi! I came across this forum whilst searching online for other people's experiences on the Juddd diet.. I started the diet myself after reading an article about it in the Telegraph, it seemed like the perfect weight loss plan to me! I have never seriously tried dieting before (although I always wished I was a stone lighter!) because I know I would never stick to it long term.. but I think it might be different with Judddd

So I started on the first Monday of the year and so far my weight loss has been as follows:

Week 1 - 2lb loss
Week 2 - 2lb loss
Week 3 - 1lb loss
Week 4 - 1lb loss

So I have gone from 9st 9lb to 9st 3lb which is amazing for me as I have never been this light! On the down side I look and feel exactly the same.. I wonder how much I need to loose before I notice a difference! I don't really have a goal weight, but as I'm quite short (5ft3) I think I can afford to go down a few more lbs yet!

My experience with the diet has been pretty good.. I do feel hungry on my dd's but I also quite enjoy them in a weird way, and the up days are great! I always try to stick to 500cals on my dd's but sometimes it creeps up to 600! The real challenge will be next week though as my boyfriend, who works away at sea, is coming home for a few weeks.. and we eat out a lot together.. will just have to try and do it every other day! As long as I don't put the weight back on though I'll be happy, and I can concentrate on loosing more when he goes back to work!

Well I hope I haven't rambled on too much! It's nice to read all your posts and pick up some tips :)

Wow you're doing great, it really does work well doesn't it, surprising as you don't think it will when you start. Yes enjoy meals out with your boyfriend, nothing stopping you doing that as long as it's on an UD :)

Good luck hun x

Hi, welcome and well done on your weight loss so far.

I have just started JUDDDing to lose a little bit of weight gained since I stopped smoking, and so far I am enjoying it x

Hi Cheryl,

Good to have you here with us too. Giid luck with juddd!

Thanks.. I'll keep you posted on how I get on! Oh, and funnily enough I don't live that far from you, I'm a Truro girl!

Oh another SW judder!! Yes not far away at all!! Hope all is going well so far x

It's my weigh in day today and have lost another 2lb :) so close to 9stone now!

But my boyfriend is now home and it's his birthday today.. have already had some gorgeous orange french toast for breakfast and we're eating out for lunch and dinner.. I'm going to have to be extra careful for the rest of the week to make up for today!

Hope everyone else had a good week too :D

Hi everyone

Well after trying Judd for a while back in 2010 I'm back on it because I'm getting married next year! Very exciting!

I fell off the wagon last time because I started two new jobs and went through the stress of buying a house and just couldn't concentrate on a diet as well. It took quite a while to put the weight back on, but working in an office full of women who eat sweets and crisps and chocolate all the time (there is a "goodies" table which is always full up) I got back to my old weight again (9st 11lb).

I've decided to adapt the diet to me this time - I do down days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at a maximum of 700 calories (I can't get through a day at work on any less). I have up days on Tuesday and Thursday at 1500 calories, and two middle days at the weekend at around 1200 calories. I think this might be a more sustainable plan for me.

The other difficulty I ave is that my fiancé works abroad for anywhere between 4-8 weeks at a time. The diet is fine when he's away, but I really struggled last time when he was home - I felt like we couldn't enjoy all our time together. So this time I am putting the diet on hold whenever he is home, and just try not to go overboard! My figures so far are:

Week 1 - 2lb loss
Week 2 - 2.5lb loss
Week 3 - 1.5lb loss
Week 4 - 1lb loss
Week 5, 6 & 7 (Josh home) - 4.5lb gain!!
Week 8 - 3lb loss

Shame about the gain during weeks 5-7 but at least I'm on loss over all so heading in the right direction! Will be nice to read about everyone's ups and downs here again.. Judd really is the only diet for me I think!!

Hi and welcome back, you are doing really well, we are all finding that tweaking it to suit our lifestyle etc is the way to go, look forward to seeing you about x
