Extra Easy question

You can definately eat all the superfree and free foods on the list...no measuring/weighing and anytime of the day. They do reccommend that you fill up on superfree foods mostly but its only advice, not law. I cant believe your consultant said that?!?!?!
Tonight i had bacon, mushroom and onion omelette with SW syn free chips and baked beans...a totally free meal :)
xx

yeh I think fruit helps, especially the speed foods (with SS next to them in the book), they are supposed to speed up weight loss, but its a suggestion not a rule, and if you want to snack on SW quiche you can! I snack on chicken drumsticks without the skin a lot of the time, really filling! x

Good gracious - good job your consultant doesn't look at my food diary!
Not heard that one before. You must be doing something right though- you have lost a remarkable amount of weight in a relatively short time - well done you.
You go girl and keep enjoying the plan.
if i was restricted to fruit i would think I was on a diet :)confused:)and would be sure to fail.
continuing good luck.

what she said

From what my C says they recommend you choose superfree foods first to snack on then foods from the free list.

However, there is only so much fruit and veg you can snack on. Somebody at my class said she eats packs of ham/chicken so I have been known to try this.

it still amazes me the consultants dont all say the same thing!!!

how the hell are people meant to get their head around SW if its not a clear consistent message

rant over...sorry

It makes sense to try and eat the super free foods first but if you want to have ham from fridge instead then why not. The only thing I would say is that we were told in class you can no longer have sw quiche as a snack it must be syned if you do (the one you make with pasta n sauce) as is same with the sw chips you can't eat them as snack you can have them with a meal free. I know some still use them as they always have and it didn't cause probs to weight loss and I still make the quiche if I fancy it for lunches at work with salad and have been known to have slice in evening from fridge so I would continue to do it like that as it never bothered me any.

I think by eating freely during the day you mean for snacks and not the meals?
In this case then your consultant is mostly correct, superfree foods (ie fruit and veg) should be your first choice for snacks. However, you can have the other (free) foods for snacks but SW advise you to go for the superfree first. This is in the book.

However, in the new mag there are some snack choices and apart from advising you to snack on fruit there are other choices - these are fruity chicken salad, fruit skewers with natural yoghurt, fritatta squares.

You can have this, absolutely fine, I think Princess01 was referring to snacks!!

I find that very bizarre to be told to only eat fruit.

I do eat a lot of fruit inbetween but generally because it's easy to eat at your desk.

I bring in a HUGE lunch of couscous or pasta salad most days so can often be found tucking into a portion of that about 10.30.

Free foods are exactly that so that includes meat and carbs on EE days - if you find it affects your loses then switch to yog and fruit but otherwise just enjoy the freedom to eat!

Good luck

I have been known to eat spoonfuls of cottage cheese from the carton.

rant away I dont understand this either, they need to get their story straight, my consultant was having to ask advice from someone at class the other night, not sure whether they were asking a member or fellow consultant, but still it seems a bit odd.

Thats why i'm sticking to red, i'm not fixing it, if its not broken.

My consultant also said you can only have yogurt and fruit between meals on EE. She also told us to get small plates, have 1/3 veg and don't have seconds, but now she says we can have seconds if we're still hungry. That's why I'm still doing red and green days instead!

Consulants do seem to put their own spin on things - but I think people forget to read their books properly. All the information is in there. The third superfree rule, the snacking advice (ie superfree first), the completed list of A's and B's. The book and the website are there to be used!!

Well I have never been told this super free stuff or fruit for snacks etc. Was only told EE was just that, a combination of red & green!! Must really take the time to sit and read the book, that is probably why the losses are small!!

I only go to drop in class, but I follow extra easy. I read that snacks between meals must ideally be chosen from super free foods, and you have to have third of your plate filled with superfree. Sometimes at the weekend I have been out and about and have snacked on free foods i.e chicken as i couldn't get superfree and my losses have been ok, however I guess the more superfree you go for the less intake and hopefully more loss!! :) i just have humungous lunch and dinner and don;t get to hungry for snacks inbetween!

I love slimming world! :)
