Sit up Challenge

Eternalflame

Excited about the new me!
Hi all

Anyone fancy some keep fit as a challenge on CD? Nothing too strenuous, just sit ups, to help tone as you shed those lb's? I'm back on re-start and certainly need to do this.

100 sit up's a day, make that the challenge, if you find you can only start at 20, 0r 30, increase it weekly? You could try normal sit ups, ab crunches or whatever you like, just remember to hold your tummy in when you do them, it does make a difference.

Try them infront of the tv, I've done them before now in front of Eastenders or Corrie, quite funny bobbing up and down seeing Peggy or David's head, lol. It does ease the chore and gets into a regime of doing it nightly. I did mine this morning, as BF was downstairs making tea.

Just copy the list below and then add your own:

Good luck everyone. On our way to toned tumms ;). x

oh this is really good , onlythis morning i was wondering what everyone was doing to tone up, my arms are so wobbly and my tummy after 2 kids is just a bag of jelly, il try ther challenge, not sure il be doing 100 though!

I'm in!!

I am aiming for 50 a day in a first week.

Good idea!!!

Welcome Blush and Mini

If you can copy and paste the names of the group, as in other challenges, so it sort of looks like this:

Eternalflame -Wk 1 Tues 60:checkmark:
Minimimi - Wk 1 Tues
Blush - Week 1 Tues

Re arms.. If that can be done easy with tins of anything, or your bottle of water.. Hold your bottle of water with both hands above your head, and push up as far as you can, squeezing your muscles as you go, then lower bending your arms, til your hands reach below your head. With tins, arms behind and squeeze them together, raising them up slightly at the same time. This exercise helps with the bingo wings!
The good thing about these exercises, you can do them at home, in the kitchen, while you're waiting for the kettle to boil, waiting for your shake to blend, or porridge in the microwave.. Go for it. Might do the same myself with this sit up challenge too.

Have fun ;) xx

I'm up for this - will do 40 a day at first and see how that goes ---- good luck everyone ;)

I'll see what I can manage in a week. I probs only beable to do 10 a day PMSL. I have no stomach muscles after having the kids.

I'm going to start Fri as I'm TOTM at the mo and I don't fancy doing sit ups. And my arthritis has flared up lol. Anyone got a gun? SHOOT ME!

Hi Becca

Welcome to the thread. The sit ups will tighten up your loose bits as you loose and its great motivation while on CD too. TOTM is awful, and my hormomes would make me so irritable and argumentitive, I had to stop mine, given me bad cramps and couldn't do anything. Just pop a little pill each day now and had none for 4 months now :).

What are they hun? I suffer really bad and heavy TOTM, where to the point I should take iron tablets.

So they work as contraceptive too?

I'm actually getting to the point where I'm thinking of a hysterectomy because it controls my life. I avoid going out when I'm on TOTM too.

They are called Northisterone, they are not contraceptives, I think you'd need to take the pill as well, but they have been a god send to me. I was sterilised and didnt want a hysterectomy so when my GP mentioned these, I was ready to try anything. You must take them daily though, or you'll have a breakthrough. The only thing I still get once a month is the bloatedness, but thats it..Its become my best friend.

Oh I know I know I've been meaning to start for a last three days but will start today!!! Promise x

sorry i didnt do them everyday but just done them now aiming for 50 a day. how do you put that tick next to it?

numnums another good thing for heavy periods is the mirena coil, its like norethisterone tablets (progesterone)but acts as contraception as well as gets rid of heavy bleeding, majority of women stop periods altogether after 6 months or so. discuss this with gp too. when i worked in gynae we would offer this to women instead of hysterectomy for heavy periods, have they done ultrasound to make sure you not got fibroids, they shud do this first. xx
