Swimming

Well I have just been swimming today for the first time in about 16years. Oh my gosh I had forgotten how to swim lol. I pushed off from the wall thinking yeah this is fine, then my leg was sticking up all on its own out the water my arms were uncontrollable! It was so funny! I got a bit better towards the end, but it just shows how little I've been using all these muscles. xx

Well done on getting back to it though. I go with my DS at the weekend but I'm a very poor swimmer, in fact i think I hardly move at all in the water and there's a lot of effort for not much result. I like it though so that's good enough for me.

Keep it up, it's very good exercise xx

Thanks eternity. I did really enjoy it and hopefully will improve with time. Well done on reaching your target, you have done amazingly well. Inspirational xx

I managed 2 lengths my first try and ended up crying in the changing rooms for 4 times the amount of times i'd actually spent in the pool (all for £4 may i add..)

I now swim 40 lengths effortlessly in only a few months swimming once a week. xxxxxx

Well done for trying! I really want to start swimming but I don't think I have tried to actually swim lengths since swimming lessons as school! I'm worried I'll have forgotten how and have to be rescued by the lifeguard! lol

I love swimming and its so good for you, burns loads of cals & tones you all over, bonus!
Keep it up :D

Swimming really is a great exercise that helps to tone all your muscles. I used to go and swim at least 30 lengths twice a week (that was over a year ago), so really need to get the courage to go back in the pool! Well done for taking the first step.

fantastic!!!!

good on you thats a great first step, the first time i went swimming i nearly had an asthma attack after 1 lap, now 3 weeks on i am swimming 40-60 front crawl laps every morning without stopping much

i am not seeing huge weight loss but definately see toning in arms and back (babck boobs as i call them)

keep it up
