Help Me Please.......

Surfhunny

Laugh in the face of food
I'm doing CD SS and have been for 2 and a half weeks, since Weds I've noticed that on an evening my tummy feels really bloated, almost as if I've eaten a huge plate of carbs, which I can assure you I haven't (just wish I had lol).

I only had a teeny weight loss last week (1lb) so I'm getting a tad concerned. I've done CD in the past very successfully, and not had anything like this. In the toilet department, everything is regular as normal and I don't feel anymore windy than normal, so I'm struggling to think of what it could be.

My CDC said it could be water retention, if thats the case how do I stop it. I drink between 2 and a half to 3 litres of water a day, so I'm taking enough in and there's no real reason for me to be retaining.

If anyone could shed some light on this I'd be grateful. Even if it's just to say I'm not the only one, because it's really starting to get me down.

Sorry for the little moan there, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks xxx

Sorry I really can't help with this as I've never had anything like it - hopefully someone will be along soon who can help out.

if it is water retention then try and up your water a tad to flush out the extra water

coming up to totm by any chance? i tend to retain some water in the week/week and a half before TOTM which can be a bit muxed up when on cd especialy in the early weeks

Thanks girls, I guess I'll just have to see how it goes. It's not my TOTM, that was last week which is why we put it down to water retention, but it's got no better :-( I'll try upping my water for the next couple of days until I can see my CDC again. I don't know what I'll do if I have another piddly little loss. I know I should be grateful it's coming off, but it seems a heck of a lot of torment for a couple of lbs a week.

It definately sounds like water retention, I get a really bloated tummy. Unfortunately apart from keeping up your water intake there isn't too much you can do about it. Hang in there it will sort itself out over a few days but I know it can be really uncomfortable and demotivating on the scales. It'll eventually come out with a whoosh and hopefully those scales will drop a bit!
