I started ww a couple of weeks ago and started off really well but the week after i had a family reunion type of thing and everything just spiralled out of control after that. I put on 2lbs... so thats me restarting at 17st 2lbs :s

I started off setting myself massive goals... but im going to be more realistic now.

My first mini goal is to weigh less than my husband :p I know it might sound silly but it makes me sick to my stomach when i think that my husband is 5'10 and weighs less than me. We are both overweight so i wont be telling him that is my goal coz he might not try so hard then :s if that makes any sense!

So first big target is 2stones! Not sure how long that would take ... but im gonna try!!

I honestly look in the mirror now and feel so ugly. i was crying the other day and saying to OH that I look so terrible now and its only been 4 months since we got married and i felt like a princess that day. With the accident and everything the past 4 months have just made me into a person i dont recognise and i hate the person i see in the mirror.

Hi and welcome back, take your diet one day at a time, it doesnt matter how long it takes you to lose 2 stone at least you are trying to do it and you are not giving up. You are not the only person who has looked in the mirror and didnt like what they see, I think a lot of people on this site have felt like that (including me), good luck on your weight loss journey and keep us post on your weight ins.

Hi hon,

welcome back, like another poster said, take it one day at a time. I find the following things really helpful for me :

Writing/keeping a food diary - gives me some accountability and even if I do slip up I still write it down and start again the next day.

Setting a series of mini goals as well as the big goals, my first mini goal was to get into 13's and my next mini goal is to lose 10%. If I start thinking about exactly how much weight I have to lose it stress's me out and makes me want to reach for the biscuit tin/Crisps, so I just concentrate on keeping to my points 1 day at a time.

I find these things help me on a day to day basis. I also cleared the cupboards of junk food for at least the first 2 weeks - if it wasn't within my points or a healthy choice I wouldn't have it in the house regardless of whether my husband wanted it or not. Stick to it hon, you can do it.

Hugs
