Billy Blanks

KookieDoh

Ugly duckling going Swan.
Does anyone else here do any of his DVDs? I do his bootcamp workout with the billy bands. When I am more confident, I'll move onto the elite package with the weighted bands. I wish they released more of his stuff in the UK. Beats the gym in my eyes!

what are these like are they easy to follow. i put a fame one on last week and it terrified me

I have the Billy Blanks Tae-Bo. I am getting fit again after a nightmare pregnancy (on bed rest for 3 months!:( ).
It is hard work, a great cardio workout but I can't keep up with it all yet. I just make sure I march or something when it gets too hard.
He is very good at explaining the moves. I can see why he is so popular.
Have a read of some of his reviews on Amazon if you're interested.
:) x

All the Billy Blanks workouts are hard going but there seems to be a bit of a strange rule. The earlier workout you do, the easier it is. I think it's because he and his daughter try to always out do the one before. For example there are three bootcamp sets. I have the second version with comes with the bands. The first one is far simpler apparently and the Elite version is hard going!

I also find if you are on the beginners DVDs, if you have difficulty, stay on the slow movements rather than follow the speeded up ones to start with until you are more confident. Also don't use any equipment equipment straight away, work up to it. That's what he says in his DVDs and usually has one person in his group not using the equipment to show you how to maintain yourself. It's hard work but the results are fast. Last weight loss attempt I used Blanks, my biceps were impressive. Not bulging but good.
