joining virgin active gym.. YAY

Has anyone joined a gym, and did it make much diffrence? I desprately need to tone up, as its really not a pretty night :cry:
 
If you join gym best only to do resistance training if you're on Sole source as too much cardio can have the opposite effect as on so lil calories and weight loss may slow down. :p
 
i just left virgin

was there a year, great first few months however

couldn't get near the pool for kids for summer. place was full of thin girls checking make up and reading mags on the tread mill..... didn't enjoy it one bit after a fw months

now at my local leasuire center for half the price for twice the facilities, and i'm the thinnest one there, and i'm a size 16/18


look around for other options before joining i say
 
youv made me worried now, can you not go to the gym on cambridge? Iv had 2 babies so my belly desprately needs sorting lol:cry:

The nearest gym is crap lol it hardly has anything, im going with my partner so i dnt mind about skinny mares, cause hopefully il be there soon lool :p
 
would i be ok going for an hour 3x a week? on stuff like treadmill, stepping one ect?
 
I'm just doing sit up and crunches at home on my baby belly, I've also had 2 kids and youngest is 16mths. I've found since I've lost weight the skin doesn't sag as much cause not as much fat in it.

I'm going to think realistically... I'll lose the weight before summer, but I don't think I'll be toned properly for another year.
 
im not going to be able to do sit ups ect yet lol im stil 21stone lol.

im really looking forward to doing it, but i dont want to do it if its not going to help and if i cant lose weight? im just going to take it steady though but i thought it would be nice to have some me n partner time lol.
my youngest is 4mths and my oldest is 2 =]
 
It's not going to hurt going to the gym, just take it easy and don't over do it and make sure to keep your self hydrated.

Water classes would be briliant for helping shed those pounds and improving over all fitness.

Rowing machine would be helpful.

But remember it's going to need start slow!
