need help quick!

I'm in the middle of cooking tea, and the recipe has the rice measurement in cups. How much rice is a cup???????

According to Wikipedia 1 cup = 0.5 pints enjoy your tea 1 imperial cup =0.5imperial pints

Too late now but for future reference as a pint of rice doesn't really work either. I measured out one cup of long grain rice and then weighed it - it ended up being 170g. But if you're going to be following US recipes it probably best to buy a cheap set of measuring cups. As cups are a measure of volume, the weight rather depends on what you are measuring.
