SW with no oven!!!

oh myyyyyyy godddddddddd!!!

i'm at the end of week 3 and have managed to stick to SW despite having no oven....it broke about a month ago! we have a stove and microwave but the oven has been taken away for repair.

i'm DYING for a nice crispy jacket potato or some SW chips/wedges. it's starting to get on my t**s now! ..hence the rant!

awe I kinda know how you feel as one of our team had no oven as her door broke and they kept sending her the wrong one so she had to cope with no oven for weeks and had large family to feed too. Hope you get sorted very soon x

I don't have an oven either and won't have one for 6 months, but sw is still a viable option! SW is just great.

Do you have a Freecycle scheme in your area (check on Yahoo groups)? It's amazing the stuff you can get for free these days.

In the past few months we've got a metal framed futon, a solid pine wardrobe, table and chairs and a bookcase.

In return we've got rid of loads of stuff we didn't want anymore.

Occasionally people do advertise things like cookers and likewise you can place a wanted ad.

I know how you feel, we moved into our flat in May and it had no kitchen or bathroom and needed major renovation everywhere else!

We now have abathroom, gorgeous livingroom, and half a kitchen! The kitchen will be finished, complete with an oven, in about a month. I can't wait! But we have somehow managed with a slow cooker, an electric steamer a George Foreman grill and a microwave!!

I've been doing slimming world since November, and have found it easy to make sw friendly meals, a great cookbook if you have a slow cooker is sw One Pot Recipes.

I've really enjoyed not having a cooker actually, as it's made me more creative!!!

i think we have one and i've heard nothing but good things about it, but our oven should be back within the next week (fingers crossed)... i need chips!!! lol
