The difference beween A and B healthy extras?

Faery

♥ On the road to a new me
I have a list of the healthy extras (both days, green, red) but where does it say anything about A's and B's? I've had three healthy extras, 28g of cheese, wholemeal bread, skimmed milk. I know you can have 1-2 of A's and 2 of B's? I'm on a green day and I'm wondering if I can have the chicken from the green healthy extras, or if I have the syn it. Confuuuuused lol.

On a green day, lean meat, poultry, and fish are included as healthy extra B items. Unless you have already used up both your healthy extra Bs for today, you don't have to syn the chicken. From looking at your post, you have one HEb left so that can be the chicken.

As a general rule - A is mainly calcium foods. Milk and cheese fall under this. Bread and some cereals fall under B as well as lean protein on green days like meat and fish, and complex carbs on red days such as pasta, rice, potatoes, and pulses.

You can look this up on the website or in your starter pack. :)

Thankyou! :)

Thanks lentil and suepat, obviously really useful to know! I appreciate the help!

Just to confirm, rice is not a HE B on a red day!
I think alot of people make this mistake by just assuming....but it has never been on the b list, you'll have to syn it if you want it!! ;)

OMG You're right! How random! It's a free food on Green Day so you would think it was a HEb on Red day! I wonder why that is?

Not all free foods on green days are Hexb on red days.
Now, if you were doing EE, rice is free :)

I'm on EE at the mo :)
