27th Jan D Day

Well I've never tried this diet before (I've tried just about every other one) I'm currently the heaviest I've ever been at 288 lbs nightmare, it's gonna be a tough road ahead as I'm a chef and on my days off I work in my own bakery.

why don't they do a pie flavoured shake.

Hi sweetie

Pie flavoured!!! Well, wouldnt that be a first - eh!!!

Welcome!!!!

You have come to the right place and yes it may be a rocky road sometimes, but rest assured you will get all the support you need on here!

You have made the big move and seriously, I wish you all the very best.

Keep motivated, keep to some small mini goals as you may think what you have to lose is just a bit daunting...think some steps and they will become a long winding road eventually, which hopefully you will look back and see the old you!

Have a great first week and come on here as much as possible...I remember a girl who was on here and she worked in a chippy, and she lost a lot of weight, so it can be done! I am cooking every night still for my hubby! Just keep your goal at the forefront all the time.

Take care and good luck!!!

Hi, i'm just on day 2, i've done tfr before but only 3 weeks. As long as you are determined then you should be fine. Once ketosis kicks in you won't be hungry and actually i quite enjoyed buying and cooking food for my family when i was on it last time!!
In the first week you just have to keep focused on the first weigh in, which can be as much as 14lbs for some...then that will carry you on to the next week and so on.
This is definately the right time to start, you could quite realistically be 2-3 stones lighter by Spring. Have you looked thru at some other posts to see average weight losses, it's a real inspiration. Top up your water and keep coming on here, that will really help you on your journey. You can do it, if you really want it! x
Good luck x

hey sweetie, itll be harder for you but if you get your head in the right zone and realise that foods what got you here youll fly through your journey..best of luck hun and good luck for weigh in x

Good for you on making the decision to start. Sure, your job might seem like making the temptation to eat too great. I don't believe it will. I have cooked food every day since starting LT. I can't say I have never been tempted but I have not given in. I find it best to keep a bottle of water handy. Keep sipping at it and you won't feel so tempted or at least you will find it easier to resist.
The road may seem long just now, but once on it the milestones fly by!!! Set your self some mini goals as this helps keep you focussed. Lots of luck.
P.s. Slimmer2moro, I'm so delighted to see you back on track I know you want this so much but are a bit afraid of it all. Willing you lots of strength right now!!!!

Is this cheating? I while ago I tried reductil, they work great for me but after around 4 weeks I started to go down hill everything started getting on top of me so I stopped taking them(one of the side effects).

Everybody seems to say the first weeks very tough, I have just finished my second day on LT but have popped a reductil every day and I have no hunger pains at all, I was going to take one for the first week just to help me over the tough first week, do you think this ok??

Wow, I cannot believe I have completed a week (weigh in tomorrow)

I have suprised myself surrounded and working with food all day.

Lets see what the loss is in the morning

Brilliant so was week 1 worth it? Good luck for week 2, i'm sure you will have no worries.

Btw if you ever find a pie flavour shake let me know, lol

-12 lb great job!!! and getting through week one with flying colours shows your job won't get in the way keep your determination and motivation and you will be fine!!! sure you'll be tempted on times but always remember the food will be there and will still taste the same the next time you are able to eat again!!! good luck and keep it up :)

Awesome!!
