finding it really hard

im on my 3rd week and struggling got no hunger pangs just miss the taste of food and yest ate some cheese could kick myself now as i wasnt even hungary just wanted to taste something if that doesnt sound daft.i googled ketosis diet and a few of the sites say if you eat no carbs and just protien your body stays in ketosis does anyone know if thats true
 
Hi, i got to week 3 last time on tfr and my mind starting playing tricks and i was thinking along the same lines as you are now...don't do it cos it just stimulates your appetite then before you know you'll be eating again. I see from your stats you only have another 9lb to lose, so i guess it depends on how quickly you want to lose it?? You could lose it by following the maintainence (depends how motivated you are) good luck with what ever you decide x

Quite a number of people struggle on week three...probably the newness has gone and the big big weight losses are behind us, although still good losses to come!

LT is what it says on the tin, Total Food Replacement and that means zero, zilch, no food at all! Get your head back where it should be because once you allow the taste buds to come alive again it will be very hard for you to get back on course.

It is all about mind games, I have been struggling for the past few days and a few days last week too! But, I need to try and just remember it is only my mind, I aint hungry for food,,,,just crave it!

You need to ask whether you want to do TFR or whether you want to refeed and lose what you have left another way.

Either way, wish you all the best, but if I were you I would stick with it! Get to your goal and just forget food for the time being, it will be there when you finish.
 
It is hard, my weigh in 3 is tomorrow. I've been craving a few things, like cheese too. I have to say I am pretty bored now but determined to keep going..it was so hard to get into ketosis I'm damned if I'm going to risk it on even the smallest tiniest piece of food. Like others, its not a hunger thing, its a boredom/craving thing and will pass

Ive just had my third weigh in today and i find that im not hungry either but just that the taste in my mouth from not eating is horrible and i really crave garlic bread, indian curry, poppadums, naan bread, chocolate, chocolate fudge cake, toast and melted butter, mashed potato, curry chips etc etc etc :cry:

So sorry guys, im just having a crave tastic day!!! I havent given in yet and i hope i dont as i am on this until may 1st!!!
 
hey as i said on the intro thread, you really shouldnt. lipotrim is a TOTAL food replacement and its like that for a reason. dont give in youve gone so far already, its really really not worth it. if you think its worth it then maybe this diet isnt for you? x
 
Temptation is going to be all around us. Think before you pick up that tasty bite. Then have a big glass of water and then ask yourself do you still really want the food. Picking at food is a slippery slope. USe your time on tfr to think about food, your attitude to it and why you want to change. Stay strong, you can do this.

Yes it is true but it's not how LT works hun. IF you really want to eat and struggling take a look at doing a different diet maybe where you can eat but still be in ketosis. I felt the same way and had to admit defeat after 4 weeks. Instead of just losing it and eating stupid things like crisps and cheese,lol i changed my diet to CD.
If you eat with LT you won't lose the weight as quickly and you couldend up eating alot more than you should be. Just because something doesn't have carbs in it it could still be loaded with calories! hth
 
You've had great advice here - ketosis is important but TFR is even more important if you're going to de-programme your mind about food. Good luck for your last few pounds

thanks everyone i had my 3rd weigh in today and lost 4lbs so feeling a bit more motivated i just find it hard as i work perminant nights and its a long night without food lol
