Sponsored Slim!!

Never gets tired of SW!
Hi folks, I was in my local pub tonight (it's a close-knit village where everyone knows each other) and some of the locals were complimenting me on my weight loss! I was talking to a group of men in their 60s and one of them said that from now on for every pound I lose he will sponsor me £1 to be given to a charity of my choice! Then a couple of the others piped up that they will do the same! They decided that they would put a poster up in the shop for people to put their names down to do the same!! This has given me a brilliant incentive to get to my goal (as well as all the other incentives!) and I'm going to give the money to Macmillan Cancer (this is close to my heart as my Mum is a sufferer of ovarian cancer and undergoing chemo at the moment!) Is anyone else doing anything similar or would anyone consider doing so? I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't think of the idea off my own bat, but am now glad that someone else cared enough to suggest it!X

That's lovely of them! I was going to do the slimathon, but not sure now, as I'll be under pressure to have good losses for the 6 weeks and will feel really bad if I don't.

However, if it was just an ongoing thing it would be ok as the pressure isn't the same, but the incentive to keep going is there!

I did a justgiving page a couple of years ago and gave the money my hubby and I raised by losing weight to the Roy Castle foundation, as my sister in law died of lung cancer :(

Good luck!!
