Diarrhea

scooterchick

She's me in a few months
I was up at 6.30 this morning with terrible pains in my stomach the horrendous diarrhea. My bum's still sore  Is it the diet or the dodgy piece of salmon I had last night? Is salmon even allowed? It's put me off anyway.

To be honest, not sure what the cause is. I haven't heard of people reacting like this, more the other way! So could well be the salmon. If you're doing SS+ then I'm afraid it's no Salmon, don't think Salmon is allowed until the 1000 step. Hope you feel better soon!

Darn it! Stick with chicken and tuna then, quorn also makes me want to heave. I did have a touch the runs before I had the salmon so maybe the salmon just finished me off. I still feel ok though, and not hungry so I don't think it's affected my ketosis. Thanks for replies xxxx

I have had salmon pretty much once a week since I started and still lose. Its not officially on the diet, but I find looking forward to my weekend salmon is what keeps me sane through the 42 chocolate tetras. Re, the diahorrea, I think its constipation that is more of a problem on this diet, so could possibly have been a dodgy salmon.

42? :D You have 6 tetras a day? Yeah, I can see why you might look forward to salmon... ;) ;) ;)

I think it used to be once that you could have salmon. But it works out to being a tiny piece - not much more than a mouthful, cos of the extra oiliness of it.

depends how long you've been on the diet too and what you had as a CD pack.

I find a tetra goes right through me if I drink it in a "oney" with no water either side.

Also just starting on the diet the first week I tend to get a bit of an upset tummy, thinks its just the composition of the shakes and my tummy adjusting to them.

Have some extra water, just a glass or two to make up for any lost fluid, and avoid the salmon until you work out what it is.

Also as with all things, if its not better in a few days see your GP.
