O/T: Any travel agents out there?

Blonde Logic

Yes. You can.
I am trying to book my flight for home in March, and it is doing my head in!!

I started out with a price of £498 - then found no availability and was told if I cut two days off my hols, they could get me one for £700!! No way!!

Started watching our usual online booking sites - ebookers, expedia, etc., and it is like watching the Stock Market in reverse....

Yesterdays prices in the morning were £582 - then by noon they were £789 - last night, they were £1000!!!!!!!!!!1 What is going on???

Is this because BA announced a strike at Easter - which is when I am going????

I need a deal!!!!!!! I am getting a bit fed up with it all!!! lol

Just wondered if anyone knew of a site to get a great deal, or why this is happening!??

Hey! I used to be a travel agent for first choice but now actually work for BA lol

The prices will change quite a lot daily depending on how well certain products are selling, its always best to look for deals on weekends rather than searching on a weekday. The larger tour operator's realise that most people are off on weekends so lower (slightly) prices. However airfares generally remain the same! but the closer it is to departure the more the cost is generally

Think by our crew expecting to go on strike is not helping the situation with other companies putting up prices to take advantage!

If you need any other info let me know!

Hi BL

I'm a Travel Agent!

Just the very fact that its Easter will make the prices high, the flights go on sale 11 months in advance so have been on sale for this period for 8 - 9 months already and you tend to get the best deals if you book early (although not always the case). The threat of the BA strike will not have helped as all the other airlines are going to be in more demand so are putting their prices up and there has been a surge in bookings since the ballot was announced.

I'll pm you!

x
