Hi everyone,
As the title asks... do you believe in this concept and does it work for you ?
I am back on plan again and really struggling to stretch my points out whilst not feeling like my throat has been cut.
Any suggestions for low point foods that fill you up would be greatly appreciated by me and my belly !!!

I do think the filling foods work for me, in my desk drawer at work I have 8 cerry toms ready for the afternoon when I get a bit peckish. At night I add a lot more veg rather that potato and it definitely hits the spot. I think it helps mentally with my WL as my brain tells my stomach that its eaten therefore it's full. I think thats what it saying !!:D

The morrisons value salmon pie is gorgeous and is only 3.5 points for the whole box, bulk it up with some veg and its really lovely.

I make home made veg soup. The only pointed thing is the stock cube. Use as much no point veg as you like then have it throughout the day or before a main meal to bulk it a bit. Not exactly sure on the points for stock cube though as its been a while since ive had to point it. Sure some one else will know points for 1 beef oxo cube.

LLVirgin, you'll be pleased to hear that stock cubes are no points at all!!!!

Hey Kay8!!!!
Hope you enjoy WeightWatchers and lose lots of weight! I too am doing WW! Some days I just feel like eating (even when I'm not hungry! lol) and I fill up on no point stuff. Things like Sugar Free Jelly, No point soup, pickled onions, salad & carrot sticks.
Some great low point things are:
Snack a Jack Salted Popcorn... only half a point per bag!
Iced Gems=1.5points a bag
Walkers French Fries=1point a bag
2 tangerines=0.5points
A jaffa Cake=0.5points

If you want to bulk up your meals then just add loads of free veg. Also I was told by my Doctor that if you have Protein, Carbs and veg at each meal, you should stay full for longer.
Anyway Goodluck Hunni!!!!
Love Vicky xxx

yes, the zero points soup is very good, egg whites are great too, i do an egg white omelette with veg in it, there zero points, or i just put cooked egg whites between two slices of toast and it is very filling

Great news on the stock cubes :). I have 1st meeting tomorrow so will be making up my soups after that. My house is gonna stink lol.

Hi.....I had this problem too when I first started too.
Totally agree with the pp as 0 point soup is a life saver. I would eat it at lunch and after dinner. Also bovril is fabby..... Tastes great and is also 0 point so makes a good hot replacement for coffee (for those of us who has sugar in it )

your stomach will get used to the lack of food eventually

keep up the good work

xx

Hiya!
I def think the filling foods work. I used to have it the wrong way round, I thought carbs were more filling than protein. So if I were having pasta I would often leave out the chicken and just have pasta and veg. Now I have the chicken with a little less pasta and loads of veg - ands its wayyy more filling! Turns out proteins harder to digest and therefore stays in the tummy longer - so it fills you for longer. Eggs are fab as pp said, I find a poached egg on toast more filling than porridge even.
Good luck xx

great idea's is there a receipe on any thread for the no point soup?

nicolas

my personal 0 point soup consists of carrots and onions, 3 part carrot, 1 part onion and 3 stock cubes 2 veg 1 beef and 1.5 litres water boil til veg is soft then i mash mash mash as i have no blender.

It tasts mighty carroty funnily enough but i like it. im sure just buying one of those stew veg packs for £1-£1.50 would be good as you get a wee selection of veg

You dont need a recipe for the soup hun. Just use whatever veg you fancy then add your stock. Hey presto a filling meal. You could also add a meat bone for stock. Flavour without the points. Just experiment and have fun.

Hi, a nice zero soup to try is fresh cauliflower, fresh Broccalli and chicken stock, (onion optional) blend together when cookd, it looks green but tastes lovely.

i always chuck a table spoon of single elmlea in there as well as it gives it a nice taste and is only 0.5pts per table spoon. so for a batch you can chuck a few in and it still would be no points.
